Arriva North East: Rare & Odd Workings - December 2013

RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings
Sorry for the really old news,
Ashington 7483 was running on X22 on 1/12, I think this shouldn't be allowed?

that makes more sense haha, certainly would have been rare to see 7383 Big Grin
RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings
thanks for reminding, that should be 7483, the "new" Optare Spectra in Ashington,
but still i think that's rare as X22 definitely needs a low floor bus?

Yeah, it should be a low floor bus, usually a Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown, so it is rare. They are usually allocated to the 20/X20 or the 44.

Nice contrast to what should be on there!

More or less normal - certain duties on the 6 inter work with the 42. Ideally you would keep the branded examples off those turns but you can't always make sure.

Spotted one coming from Coxhoe at Bowburn Interchange yesterday morning.
It went over me on the A1 (M) as I was heading South.

1307 also on there today. Come this time next week, seeing them in Middlesbrough will be normal given Sapphire cascade plans.
RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings
They're certainly not meant to be allocated to it (4 Gemini and 2 Pulsar is the official allocation) but they can be used as backup deckers I guess, and they have been fairly regular for the last 2-3 weeks, indeed one day last week saw 4 DLAs in one day!

Thanks for the confirmation. I saw it some months back but it had managed to evade my attempts to get a run out with it. Hope yet!!
RE: Arriva North East - Rare and Odd Workings
An Alx400 is on 64 in Durham.
7364? Or some combo of those numbers.

A Solo was ahead of it and was passing New College at dinnertime.
The queue was huge and there was already a decent loading on.

Will have been 7464 (or 7463) ?

Redcar have given Whitby 1305 - they used it on service 5/X5 today.
Stockton meanwhile had Scania 4654 on short 17s, and a 27 branded Pulsar ended up on service 5A. Centro 1924 also saw the delights of Brotton.

Yesterday Stockton MPD 1753 ended up on service 29 replacing Cadet 1905. That was after it managed part of an X6 as another breakdown replacement.

Don't forget 2 days of 15-branded Pulsars on the 7 - 1486 yesterday and 1485 today.
