KX58 LJA has a SORN in place, not sure if it’s recent though as I took a photo of it on the 885 on 15th January.

Both BU06HRX and GN06UEK do have a valid MOT. The former expires in October and the latter in April.

They look like models!

I would have thought the fella listed on Companies House would have had his mug shot on the site.

It just doesn't seem to add up!

Looks like a online advert for match.com to me Big Grin

One of the PCL drivers was telling me that they were part of this group before, supposedly this is how a lot of the stock they've acquired is ex London cast offs.

PCL have had more buses than daily breakfasts...

S830OFT   20 Feb 2019, 8:06 pm
What do PCL use on the 15/16? Because everytime I go to Northumberland I rarely see those services...
Also can anybody confirm which PCL buses were destroyed in the fire?

Versa YJ13HHW was one of them, a lot of its rear end is burnt out.

That's very strange, although it is even stranger this happened days after the court case and the announcement of the loss of Wooler Contracts.

The following routes haven't been operating recently, despite being advertised:
A1: Alnwick - Longframlington
S1A: Morpeth to Stannington
M1: Morpeth to Thropton.

I take it these are commercial services, so even if you complained to the council nothing would be done...

Yes all of these services are still registered including the Sunday one to Metrocentre.  If you would like to complain about this it should be raised with the Traffic Commissioner on the grounds of failing to operate a registered service. Contact the Traffic Commissioners Office help line on 0300 123 9000 and they should be able to help you.

Should you raise a complaint the operation of the service will be looked into and any claims for BSOG on these ghost services could also be reviewed.

This company needs to be shut down on health grounds, as not only are their fleet unsafe with major faults, some vehicle's arent even roadworthy and come without Tax or MOT. The drivers attitude to the services is just heartbreaking as if you are a regular, you are pretty much living in threat your only bus won't show up...

This company is a shambles. I'm surprised that no more services have been lost to other operators, following the re-allocation of services 470 and 473 to Glen Valley. Let's just hope...

Hopefully they loose the 15/16 as since the Spirit Days this service has been quite unpopular for a variety of reasons...

The owner has confirmed on his social media that if they didn't have all the mindless acts of vandalism they may still have been operating the Wooler Services. He goes on to say they felt unsafe to continue operating following the fire damage to one of their buses which was the final straw for them.

Does that explain why services A1, M1 and S1A fail to operate?

Considering that is his company's brand it seems very unusual to change his company name to that, although he is well known for his cowboy operation within Northumberland, and the use of vehicles that are well (unroadworthy). I do hope this company is axed soon, although I'm sure he will find a way to return...

I believe that PCL were required to use the 'Rural Link' branding by NCC.

Not PCL Travel in this instance but they're mentioned in this article regarding Johnson's of Mickley.

Hardlys going to work, PCLs current services don't seem sustainable so I can't see this bringing in a significant amount of revenue. Also for a company as small as PCL, I can't see them investing in Double Decker vehicles, when the cost is so high, this is a recipe for disaster...
