Bolton has most of the B7RLEs left at FGM not all Urbans but all Urban 2s are based their. They also have a mix of 12/14 reg E400s with most of the 14 Regs. Along with some B9TLs, 1 57,lots of 58/09 Regs and the 2 12 Reg Gemini 2s.

They also have based the Vantage Gemini 3s but are not Included in the sale.

That’s just the allocation at the moment so it could change depending on what they are leasing.

Quite a mixture then, thanks for the information.

Interesting comments and leanings towards the customer being a prime focus.

Time will tell whether it is an effective way to run the business and I'm sure other operators will jump on the bandwagon if it is!

Wessex pulled out of Bristol entirely, selling their operations, and some vehicles, to Stagecoach.  From the state of the vehicles that were passed over, I would suggest that these B9s should be looked at very carefully before even considering putting them into service!

RE: North West Bus Operations
The Wessex vehicles have been doing the rounds including seeing use at Heathrow and in the West Midlands fleets. I guess if there is spare capacity then it's not surprising some have been transferred into the Bolton Depot.

RE: North West Bus Operations
Hi, sorry if this is elsewhere on the thread. I'm flying from Liverpool in November and wondered if the 500 'airport' bus is still a decker or not as I remember seeing a pic of an EcoCity on the route?

If it's an EcoCity is there plenty of luggage space as the ones here in Darlo generally don't have much luggage room?

Also, would you use the 500 or the 86A to/from the airport?

Thanks in advance! Smile

It's generally allocated an EcoCity now. They have additional "airport" luggage racks in them over the front offside wheelarch and opposite the wheelchair area.
