(15 Jan 2020, 11:12 am)Dan It can’t be retrofitted to the bulkhead, so this is probably the best place (other than perhaps at the top of the stairs like the Cobalt B9s).I guess either way it helps passengers and boice but guessing its not programmed because it wasn't on , in another thought with the drifters having next stops on screen below stopping sign wouldnt it make sense to do this to Prince Bishops, Red kites etc.
It takes up next to no room so I don’t think this is an issue.

(15 Jan 2020, 3:41 pm)Dan The Prince Bishops and Red Kites don’t have screens behind the perspex on back of drivers cab - nothing is there, as they were specified with LEDs rather than TFTs.

(15 Jan 2020, 4:20 pm)streetdeckfan Was it a cost saving measure to go with LEDs over the LCD, or was it because the LED displays (in my opinion) are easier to see?
Or another reason entirely

With the LCDs, is each stop its own image, or is it a static image with text superimposed on it?
Or is it just a PowerPoint presentation

6334 seen in Dunston this afternoon Bus times shows it worked the 894N
Does 'Best Impressions' only have a few different livery templates that it flogs to every bus company, or just lazy designers?
This could be a GNE route.... https://twitter.com/McKennaBrothers/stat...65/photo/2
And check this out.... X-Lines template just applied a little further forward?... https://twitter.com/benwakerley/status/1...56/photo/3

Clearly.

Oh and that First Omnicity linked above, pretty much the same here with the split in a different place: https://flic.kr/p/PeJcuH - new Go North West livery is pretty similar too: https://flic.kr/p/2hZMfW1
And then in the same area there's this Cross Pennine style livery: https://flic.kr/p/2i3trMm - when I made said comparison someone popped up and stated BI are innovative etc

(15 Jan 2020, 11:00 pm)streetdeckfan I'm not defending them, but at the end of the day does it really matter?
There's only so many ways that you can split up colours on the side of a bus.
Swoops were all the rage, now it's straight lines.
At that point, do you go horizontal, vertical or diagonal, forwards or backwards, at the front or the back?
What do you use to break up the colours? Do you use one solid line, or do you break it up with smaller dashes of colour, sort of 'feathering' the colours?
Do you use contrasting colours, or similar shades?
Just because they're using the same template, doesn't mean it's a 5 minute job.

(16 Jan 2020, 7:26 am)S813 FVK It was Beacon who designed the most up-to-date Green Arrow/Little Coasters/C&C liveries. Bit unfair to criticise BI for those.
All they’ve done GNE wise so far is Xlines and Toon Tour.

5369s been towed out deptford today for leeds , a driver said so guessing new engine
With the X1 going E400s, I wonder if they'll still spec the low height version they have for the X30, or whether they'll go for the same height as 6337.
I'm very much hoping for the latter as speccing a low height bus where it's not needed is just bad for the passenger experience
