Arriva NE recent transfers

It’s not seen service as far as I’m aware, though there were suggestions it’s come to operate the staff shuttle. It’s due it’s test soon though so perhaps they’re doing this before it sees the road

RE: Arriva NE recent transfers
Not a transfer but think this is a suitable place to ask but are 7455/56 withdrawn as they haven't been out since March (7455)/February (7456).

Recently seen active in Darlington are 2856 and 7518. Transfers or loans ? Or do they just need to stretch their pistons !

7518 got transferred last year due to extra capacity needed on the 1/5/5A/X1 and the 7

2856 by all accounts is a permanent fixture again at Darlington, if plans still as they were a larger solo is getting transferred up to Redcar/Whitby, but due to the amount of VOR (vehicles off road) none of these changed have happened yet, unless they’ve sent 1760 up to Redcar/Whitby instead

1760 not been used yet at Redcar. I’m told 1766 has arrived this weekend but needs lots of work doing to it before that’s fit for use.

RE: Arriva NE recent transfers
I can confirm that. It was 10 mins late. Its in bad need of a paint job and was struggling. Sounds okay but can't see it on the road much longer. It's surprisingly that it's sister 1402 can do a 57 rota for half of the day. Will do 4 trips on the 57A and 5 on the 57

RE: Arriva NE recent transfers
7455 is the 3rd arriva bus to return back from the dead in the last 2-3 months, returned on Wednesday. Managed to get a good ride on it on a return on the 43 and it was verry impressive and sounded full of life, wonder if 7456 will make a comeback. So glad to see 7455 back I must say.

Good to see 7455 back love the lowlanders, like low flying aircraft when able to stretch their legs . Hopefully 7456 wont be far behind in returning.

Have 2843/49 replaced 1800/01 as they seem to always be on the Dennis dart boards on the 57/A. They were only meant to be at Ashington for a diversion shuttle but have stayed, are Ashington keeping them?

They're now Ashington based, yes. There are no MPD boards on the 57 now.

7411 also now Ashington based.

Thank god for that. Guess this means 1800/01 will now be withdrawn or used as spares

So I presume that means 2849/43 have replaced the MPDs. Now that means we just have to see how long till the quick links to Darlington branding is removed from them.

The Darts are nicer buses than the Solo's imo. The Solo's are wrecked inside and are falling apart quite literally.

Yorkshire Tiger is now defunct as of today and replaced by Transdev's Team Pennine - so these vehicles are either ex-Yorkshire Tiger vehicles going for repaint into Transdev's new livery. Or they could be the three Omnilinks which weren't included in the sale...it's very possible these could transfer to Arriva NE as Arriva Yorkshire (where the rest of Tiger's newer vehicles have ended up) don't have any Scania vehicles.
