RE: Go North East Service Suggestions
311 - Cramlington - Seaton Delaval - Holywell - Northumberland Park - Cobalt - Battle Hill Drive - Coast Road - Newcastle – Every 20 Minutes

Newcastle to Cobalt – 24 Minutes
Cobalt to Cramlington – 32 Minutes
Total = 56 Minutes

The Competition – Journey Times Between Newcastle and Cramlington

Arriva 43 = 37 Minutes
Arriva 52 = 46 Minutes
Arriva X5 = 67 Minutes - 72 Minutes (Peak Times)
Arriva X10/X11 = 27 Minutes
Arriva X13 = 53 Minutes

I think a wise move would be to go Head2Head with the Arriva 52, but on an Increased Frequency of Every 20 Minutes as Stated Above

X10 or X11 isn't 55 minutes, the X5 isn't 72 mins, I can tell you that for a fact ;-)

Took the Timings off the Arriva Website, Can't be that far off unless I have made a Typo Error

X5 is 67 minutes daytime, X10/X11 is 54 minutes, so he is pretty close with 55 Tongue

Yeah That's Correct, With X5 I noted the 7am Departure from Blyth which takes 72 Minutes, and I have most likely done the same with the others also, My Bad

55 from Newcastle to Cramlington on the X10/X11? It's only about 25. It says ''journey times from Cramlington to Newcastle''?

Shit, Just realised I put the Timings in for Blyth rather than Cramlington on that one, Apologies Tom.

All should now have Correct Timings, Back on topic, what do you think my proposed 311 Service

I like it. Only thing is, the 19 already operates from Cramlington to Cobalt, but is it popular to justify a additional service? I don't know.

As with other Nexus Bus routes, completely up to Nexus as far as I understand. Obviously subject to lobbying by the councillors/councils though.

Just curious, I use the Q2 alot and its busy into Newcastle, back the other way though theres hardly anybody on, 3/4 full at peak times if lucky going towards St Peters Basin, always thought personally if it served Byker it might get a few more people, especially the route it goes, although Quaylink would be pointless

Although the pvr would increase (or frequency would drop), it would make sense (in my mind anyway) to extend the q2 from St Peters up to Byker - even if it was just at certain times of the day.

Surprised there hasn't been a loud voice from inside the Civic Centre making representations.

It'd make little sense as the Q2 covers a route that Metro doesn't. Byker to City Centre already has a high frequency of services combined, not to mention the Metro.

I was thinking about the link that doesn't exist between the riverside, St Peters and Byker.

Edit: scrap that, just remembered about the 18 Wallsend to Forest Hall via Walker, St Peters and Byker. Pretty sure there is a shoppers bus to the retail park too

Vaguely.
Can remember there was a bus or two that went along that way, but no idea what number it was.

Think Go North East used to run a 106 through St Peter's and Ouseburn to Newcastle and Walker?

Turning back on itself after DP Tongue

Only problem I have with that is time, how long will that take, now if it was an express service...obviously it could not be X71...so how about this...

New X93 Newcastle-MetroCentre-Birtley-Chester-le-Street-Fencehouses-Houghton-Hetton-Murton-Dalton Park-Seaham 1ph

Renumber your idea X94 change it to 1ph and run it express between Newcastle-Wrekenton-Chester and so on

Run them 30 mins combined to keep in with your every half hour suggestion Wink
RE: Go North East Service Suggestions
Birtley does not need a link to anywhere else, especially not Hetton or Dalton Park.

Seems a bit OTT

That's like saying Pelton doesn't need a link to Rickleton, but it has one doesn't it, My general thought for the 71 was making it more commercially viable Service by extending it in both Directions without following the 21 to Newcastle, so I opted for the X25 Route in that Direction, I did also consider extending to Sunderland from Houghton, but that would be pointless as there is Numerous Services unless it was to follow the 238 Route to Sunderland, But then I thought it would again be Pointless so I decided to extend it via Hetton and Dalton Park to Seaham as I thought it would be more Profitable for GNE.
RE: Go North East Service Suggestions
Since the 20/20a and X35 just getting normal upgrades like the Loop Brand has, then if Double deckers get purchased for service 35 and 27, then the citarios from the 35/27 could be cascaded onto either Limes, Highwayman or Fab57.

Also since service 39 will not come under the simplicity brand then the versas could go to Washington for service W5/W6 etc... and those cadets could join other cadets at Deptford, so service 39 could become all cadets while service 29 will all be scanias.
