RE: September Service Changes
(03 Aug 2021, 8:19 pm)L469 YVK wrote This is what I've got based on the following:
* X31 serves Consett
* 10 minute layover at Eldon Square & 23 minute layover for X30 at Stanley
Total PVR will be 13x with most if not all driver changeovers in Consett.
Pattern A - 4hr 29m PVR 5X
- X31 Consett > Newcastle (00:33 > 01:40)
- X72 Newcastle > Stanley (01:50 > 02:46)
- X72 Stanley > Newcastle (02:52 > 03:50)
- X31 Newcastle > Consett (04:00 > 05:02)
Pattern B - 3hr 53m PVR 4X
- X71 Consett > Newcastle (05:12 > 06:10)
- X30 Newcastle > Stanley (06:20 > 06:58)
- X30 Stanley > Newcastle (07:21 > 08:00)
- X71 Newcastle > Consett (08:10 > 09:05)
Pattern C - 3hr 53m PVR 4X
- X70 Consett > Newcastle (09:32 > 10:30)
- X30 Newcastle > Stanley (10:40 > 11:18)
- X30 Stanley > Newcastle (11:41 > 12:20)
- X70 Newcastle > Consett (12:30 > 13:25)
But given I've been told by a driver that it's the X30 that will continue to run through to Consett, how does that add in?
(03 Aug 2021, 10:29 pm)L469 YVK wrote It will likely if not almost certainly be numbered the X72 as it will form a common 20 minute frequency between Byermoor & Newcastle with the X70 & X71.
Current PVRs (Total = 27x)
- X30 = 4x
- X31/X45/X46 = 13x
- X47/X70/X71 = 9x
- V9 = 1x
New PVRs (Educated guess - Total 28x)
- X30/X31 & X70/X71/X72 = 13x
- X45/X46 = 9x
- 47/47A = 6x
Obviously any increase would likely be counteracted by changes to the 6/6A/M6/M7/M8
M6, M7 and M8 are all being discontinued. 6 is replacing them in Tanfield Lea and Burnopfield.
X72 might get Tanfield Village as well as Tantobie, Flint Hill, Dipton, Catchgate and Annfield Plain to Stanley. I speculated on the route earlier (Newcastle - Gateshead - Lobley Hill - Sunniside - Crookgate then as previous sentence in this message) though you can take out the Cragside Gardens bit - that was speculative.
Evenings might be interesting as X72 might just be Monday to Saturday daytime, which brings the 6A into the equation for the Annfield Plain section as per now.
That leaves Tanfield Lea out in the cold in the evening.
