Northern Rail @northernrailorg 48s
Due to a broken down train between #Manors and #Heworth services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed at short notice

Just spotted this on twitter.

Probably worth mentioning that from the December 2013 timetable change (Sunday 8th) Dunston will see hourly calls on the Newcastle-Metrocentre shuttle services.

Not sure how long, but have noticed them in the past (glass divider between doors and seats).

If it was recent, I'd hazard a guess the stylised R logo would have been used.

Sorry to reply to an ancient post. The Nexus logo has been there at least 10 years possibly 15. They were put on the Heaton allocated units when Arriva / Northern Spirit refurbed them from the bench seats to the high backed seats they now have. It was about the same time as the old PTE livery was lost replaced by the Northern Spirit livery and Nexus logo on the outside

Yeah it was definitely when the 142s got the green / grey high backs I think under Northern Spirit. Definitely pre Northern, It was when Nexus sponsored a lot of the North East services pre Metro

Northern Spirit came in mid-late 90's and it was a few years after then, when the Metro was extended.

Nexus came up with their pipework logo around that period too.

So that would all tie in.

Does anyone know the diagrams for Northern or know where to find them?

Looking at possibly doing some Northern bashing on the next bank holiday - but don't want to spend the day sitting on Pacers.
