(22 Jun 2014, 5:38 pm)peter I would delete this post and instead ask on this thread: http://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showth...hp?tid=848&page=20 "Any details on who has won the Park and Ride contract?" as at the moment there is no indication to show that Scarlet Band are any more likely than Arriva, Go North East or any other operator to gain the contract hence why it is easier to ask on the thread in the link above than to ask "Has (operators name) won the park and rides" on the thread of each and every operator that could gain them. Scarlet Band is not the only operator in the North East going for this contract which is another reason why any discussion about the contract should take place on the thread above and not the thread of an individual operator who is just one among many bidding for the contract.

(22 Jun 2014, 5:47 pm)Dan It could be that a Scarlet Band employee has advised jaimz13 that the company will be operating the Park & Ride services in Durham, hence his post in this thread.
If that wasn't the case, then I'd agree with you.

(22 Jun 2014, 5:55 pm)Kuyoyo Scott will be able to provide more details, but it emerged last night that Scarlet Band have indeed regain the Durham Park & Ride contract from later this year after 5 years since the controversy surrounding of the awarding of the service to Arriva.

(22 Jun 2014, 6:35 pm)tyresmoke Yes I was told a couple of days ago that Scarlet Band have indeed (re)gained the contract for the Durham Park & Ride service.
It will be interesting to see what vehicles they buy or lease to operate it with... given the contractual requirement was for 10 Euro 6 vehicles, to cover a PVR of 9.
The contract starts on 27th October, and will run for 5 years, with extensions available for a further 2 or 3 years if awarded.

Saw a Scarlet Band Enviro200 operating the Chester local services - don't think this is the norm as it's usually a Solo.
