RE: Scotland Bus Operations
Six or seven brand new Volvo 7900Hs due to be delivered to Lothian Buses are currently occupying a space at Volvo Bus & Coach's dealer/workshop unit in Washington.

These vehicles are fitted with Euro 6 engine technology, and a total of twenty are due to be delivered to Lothian Buses later this year.

If anyone intends on going for photographs, I'd suggest you try and do it after closing hours (which is only 4pm - 5pm on weekends iirc), because the staff weren't too happy about me taking photographs - even though it was from outside of the fence.

Yes, on the Toon Link at Riverside depot.

Moving to Crook on Wednesday for use on the Pronto.

Something I noticed today in Edinburgh on my day out...

Many of the Gemini double deckers have Gemini 1 body work on the front of the vehicle yet face lifted Gemini 2 rear body work! I was and still am so confused!?

Those are early Volvo B9TLs - the Gemini2 front style wasn't launched until 2009 hence all Geminis built before then had the original style front end but the restyled rear end.

surely thats a waste of money? Giving a bus vinyls that will only last for a few days as i imagine the situation will be the same as when Go North East had it, the 'Lothian' vinyls were removed and Go North East vinyls added?

It was probably a last minute thing, like it was with GNE.

Harlequin 683 meanwhile on service 26 - due to the lack of red tops!
RE: Scotland Bus Operations
Does anyone know if those Van Hool A330's have entered service with First and Stagecoach in Aberdeen yet, Was thinking of doing a trip up there towards the end of the year.

In Edinburgh today:
A harlequin trident and a B9 gemini 1 on 26s
62 covering for a 7900 on 1
Few B7s missing off 'the lady Victoria' with un branded B7s and B9s in their places.

The lady Victoria brand must have been withdrawn as in my few hours at Edinburgh today, I didn't see a single branded bus on route 3.

Has been gone a few years now Tongue

If I recall correctly, service 3 was changed to do with something related to First? This is when they lost the branding - must have been in 2012.

There's one at Dunfermline.

It was outside in the yard on Saturday.

I was on a coach fleeing past, so couldn't ID it. The lad who I was with noticed it first.

I'm guessing it was just a break for the driver, as three are/have been at Carlisle, though destined for Manchester and London.

Aye just done a search and it is Henderson Travel's ... visited their depot on our day out to the Commonwealth Games - very welcoming they are too! They had this as their NIS screen, quite nice to see an operator personalising it! They even invited us onto their new E200's which they had just picked up the previous day, to show us what they were like!
