I know that at least one brand new ADL E300 from another batch may attend the open day, but could this include one of Sunderland's Gas Buses as a bus from the "future"?

Yes - one of the Scanias is attending, along with a E400H from Walkergate and the new E300 (which we may have to make signs regarding their Specification, which is a hint as to where they are coming from )

22734 is only used in emergency cases, ie if it's the only bus left

Gas buses 28023 and 28024 and ADL E200 36979 are at the rear of Sunderland Depot this morning, alongside those two coaches and 22673.

By "what the work is yet to be finalised" you mean no-one's told you yet. I'm sure they'd know full well what they intend to do with them before transferring them.

By that, I mean exactly that! A few people have an idea of what might be coming but apart from that, things are still be discussed. All that is certain is that the route will be operating from Newcastle.

22673 passed the bus I was on in Holmeside this morning on my way to work (would have been around 09.25) displaying 'Sorry Not In Service'.

Do you know the X1, when it gets to Doxford park on a morning, does each run then go on to the 4 or 13 or just 1 of the services?

The newly repainted E300 at Stockton, 24105 seeming re-entered service today, working 36s all evening, as seen below working the 2032 36 from Park End to Hartlepool in Stockton at 2102.

All 3 E300s have been done as so - mainly as a result of having a nearside CCTV camera in the location the fleetnumber is found on the offside.

I know the 4 always changes at mill hill to x1 around tea time. The x1 a few years ago went straight on to a 3 on a morning after Doxford international not sure now tho

That's the standard placement for rear fleet numbers on Enviro bodies, not where Stockton fitted them when new.

14670 (H670 BNL) is the open-top bus for the charity "mind". The 553 shuttle service (operated by ADL E400s) was, up until 08:30, going via the Coast Road, Marsden Inn, Prince Edward Road and Harton Nook to get to Newcastle. I assume they are going via Tyne Dock now.

Does anyone know which "closed-top" vehicle is operating the South Shields Shuttle today? Last year it was operated by Slatyford MAN ALX300 22040, and it did not have its displays programmed for the service.
