Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2014

No idea where the next P&R site will be or whether the Roseberry Leisure link will continue (car parking at Pub and Arena).
Apart from sticking the cars in a field at Penshaw riding stables, I am not sure what other space Roseberry has these days.

You know I'm always right man !  I don't think the Roseberry Leisure link continues with the new site, but it means there'll be some more buses for the FPF to worry about, albeit they won't be stopping
RE: Go North East - Latest
Ah whey, at least by going the wrong way, it gets passengers! It had three on, one from Rainton Bridge and two that it collected en route to Houghton.

Lambton Garden Centre per chance for this new P&R?

Further notes for you from Today, 6047 had a issue with Second Opening Upperdeck Window, Drivers side, Randomly kept on opening and shutting and finally an SA Citaro which is on the 21:10 2C through Lambton isnt displaying the Blue Square or the Number either.

Also could you check if 5325 had its loose Panel above Doors Repaired, as doubt I Customer Services would of passed on those Details I gave them on Friday over the Phone.

Was on the 45 yesterday still with a frozen front display. Confusing for passengers too as there was no paper number in the window, and I don't think that one has a side blind?

Was on a QuayLink Versa yesterday from The Sage to New Market Street. I was pleasantly surprised by it all, the driver gone out of his way to help people, and the vehicle itself was in pretty good condition! The interior TV screen was just a generic QuayLink welcome message but it had another TV screen to the right of it.
Inside it was clean, and generally a nice place to be. It was nippy too - really did enjoy the trip!

(More than what could be said for my last trip on a GNE Versa, one of the SimpliCity branded ones)

Nope. Its one of 2 that doesnt (3832 being the other). Obviously linked to their usage on DFDS service 327.

And i know for a fact management have seen the bus pass by with the problem.

MPD 544 has transferred back to Deptford from Washington, and is apparently on 238s today.
Scania L94 4935 should transfer to Chester as a replacement for 4852 at some point today.

Go North East's official fleet news given below:
There have been no vehicle transfers this week. A number of older branded double deck vehicles have been re-registered. DFDS Trident 3866 has become 340 GUP, 3867 is now 524 FUP and 3891 is now CU 7661. 3890 will be re-registered CU 6860 in due course. Red Arrow B7TL 3943 is now registered FCU 190. The Angel B7s 3962 and 3965 are also due to be re-registered.
I assume that 3962/65 will be the new K2VOY/K3VOY, but I don't know this for sure.
I should get some time at some point today to update everything...

The second npower Park & Ride service operates between Rainton Bridge and Russell Foster Football Centre (just off Stadon Way).

Both 6099 and 6100 are out on the npower services today.

Why post it again when Dan had already quoted it in his post.

Oh that will go down well with the locals!
They're worse than the FPF.

Campaigned when the woods were felled, complain about parents parking there when football games are on (Saturday, Sunday and midweek) and now have NPower people parking there.
P&R'ers, will also have the 35a at the end of the road to fall back on - obviously paying a commercial fare on that.

I thought I saw what was one of the old x9/x10 Gemini's in the pub car park this morning mind, as opposed to 6099/100.

On a different note - saw an official standing with a folder at the stop opposite the Chester Moor earlier. Guessing he was checking running times, as it looked like his van was parked by the side of the road.

Also, noticed it as a passenger - but saw it from the outside today so to speak.
The turning circle and manoeuvrability of the Cadets.
Is it just me, or are they poor in that side of things too?

Its bazza here, he never seems to read back through posts.

Anyway, 3962 and 3965 due to be reregistered. If K2/K3 VOY was to work imo, it would need to be 3962 and 3963 that were reregistered rather than 3965.

4854 should go before 4852. 4854 is terrible for pulling away slowly.

4852 hasn't been allocated to service work since the start of this month - it has already been withdrawn.

Fleet lists should be fully up-to-date again... Apologies for the backlog - will try and avoid it happening again!

I unusually didnt see one today! Every single 78 board i see (apart from the board which 5254 operated today) is operated by Chester-le-Street and i have seen at least 1 everyday since 4852 was declared withdrawn.

Haha! He got you there. Tongue

More questions based on the fleet list and these are open to anybody:
- When 3814, 3828 and 3829 are going to be officially withdrawn as they appear to still be in service
- And when is 3825 scheduled to make its transfer over to Riverside to allow 3818 to be withdrawn

Will do my usual thing again tomorrow, keep an eye out for those 4 in particular. Still no sign of 3874 so must still be VOR.

One Olympian remains in service pending transfer of 3874 which hasn't moved in over a month.

I believe Olympian 3818 has already been withdrawn from Riverside, albeit not officially, so Stanley really ought to be transferring one to Riverside ASAP.

As for the other two, Stanley is holding onto them until the remaining Tridents due for repaint are completed. 3802 is still at Saltmeadows, so they won't want to be one decker down, especially with the recent complaints regarding capacity on scholars.

Still feeling productive, so I've updated the fleet lists to show 4968 and 4970-72 as "Laser" branded, opposed to "Gold".

Back to getting ahead of myself on homework and uploading some photos to Flickr! Wink
