There have just got 25 new buses so why would they need more buses and them buses will known good on Teesside routes that what I think
RE: Stagecoach North East - Latest
it was because the someone said before that there e200 wouldn't be suitable for routes on Teesside that's what I meant
RE: Stagecoach North East - Latest
They probably won't be for Stockton - let's just think for a moment:

Busways' 39xxx seat 38 - 4 less than a non-DDA MAN
Hartlepool's Darts will be 11 years old next year - the designed life span for a Dart being 12 years
The Darts seat 38 - exactly the same as the 397xx (Hartlepool's 396xx seat 43 - they are longer)

Might that be the eventual location for 39701-14 Wink

(That and those MAN E200s will be far too small in terms of capacity for most of Stockton's routes)

Anyone else thinking it could be a three way swap if Stockton want a complete DDA fleet

New E300s seat 42 one LESS than Hartlepools E200s... If they don't have the capacity for Stockton routes why have they bought 25 smaller buses?

One of the main supposed resons for buying the 25 buses was the reliability of the older 300's. The older 300's have had some issues from day 1 and the breakdowns were obviously an issue. The new vehicles have smaller wheels for platform height accessibility. Every 5 years there is usually an injection of new vehicles and maybe some swap arounds to suit.

I'm just pointing out that people say Hartlepools E200 would never come to teesside because they don't have the Capacity for Stocktons routes yet the new buses hold less people so it makes perfect sense to send some E200s to Stockton

Excellent point, and I would agree. When the new ones arrived the first thing i noticed was ( capacity ) with one row missing, and from a drivers point of view, cab room is also an issue. But I'm afraid these decisions are made behind closed doors with little or no input from the driver. Lets face it when the chief has shares in ADL then you can bet your bottom dollar that's where the fleet will come from for the foreseable future. Me personally would opt for the Citaro. :s

I think they've just uploaded the holding page for winter-related disruption so it can then just be updated as and when required.
RE: Stagecoach North East - Latest
Yeah, the inclement weather page will have been created in advance of the bad weather coming. It's then be a case of updating it as and when incidents appear, rather than creating from scratch. Suspect it'll be hidden from view tomorrow until its needed again.

It's poor practise to wait until the snow comes, you know ;-)

What 39xxx are you talking about moving to Teesside? They can have are shields 39xxx if they want them or are you taiking about something else. Regards Robin
Rumour is that the South Shields 39XXX are moving to Teesside in period 8 (before Christmas) and in return will get "what ever shit they find" < quoted from AOM
