Oh aye, I'm not defending his actions, it's just Cisse is clearly the better person. Evans can hardly deny it, it was on live TV, he just looks like a coward.

BTW, Jonny Evans has not actually denied spitting, he has denied doing it deliberatey, while I am not defending him, it is easy done if your 'having words' with someone

What a set of wankers...

I say the FA should scrub the result and make them replay on a neutral ground behind closed doors, no need for that behaviour

I really don't see the point in invaiding the pitch. The people who do it are complete lunatics. It's totally unnecessary and is just plain ignorant. The problem is though, they're like sheep. You've got the shepherd (the person who originally runs onto the pitch), and a bunch of sheep who are so oblivious to the disruption they cause then follow.

It wholly ruined the match.

It's stupid. Running on the pitch like a tit, and risking a banning order.

It's very rare I agree with Mark Lawrenson, but he's spot on about the lack of stewards. They've got no choice there other than to let them on the pitch, as they haven't the manpower to stop them.

Saw about them running on the pitch on 60 Seconds.

At first I was worried because I thought at the first images I saw, it was Hillsborough or something will all the fans running on the pitch, etc, but after reading this - I think they should strip their victory.
Tom   08 Mar 2015, 12:25 am
They've made a fool of themselves there, and it's disgraceful how fans behave like that.

But I completely disagree with the comments about stripping their victory.
How is it the players fault, who worked hard, if fans decided to evade the pitch?

Gateshead lost again!! Sad Going down 1-0 to Braintree with Kenny Davis scoring a penalty after a SHIT Matty Pattison tackle

It has happened before where a result was scrubbed after a pitch invasion and replayed, it has happened to Newcastle, that was about 40 years ago though, lol.

Police should pick out a few faces, give them a 6 o'clock knock and see they get hefty banning orders, they won't find everybody who was on the pitch, but an example should be made of some.

Aston Villa should be done, the standard of stewarding is a joke, West Brom should be brought up for there fans behaviour, ripping seats up etc. As for punishment, might be a bit harsh to strip Villas victory, Villa should have there allocation for Wembley slashed and Quarter Final Prize Money taken away at least.

Pitch invasions like this are quite hard ti stop, if thousands want to invade the playing area, it would be hard for the stewards and police to stop it, there is only one real way to stop encroachment, and we don't ever want to see that again, big fences around the perimeter.

I also ain't keen on Lawrenson either, but he was spot on, why do it, your winning, there is no need for it, and had a giggle when he said 'Lots of villages have lost there idiots' or something along those lines.

When it comes to pitch invasions, what should be done about them in general, should there be a harsh punishment regardless of what is going on, it is a tradition virtually every year at lower league clubs at the end of the season when a team gets promoted, wins the league and in the Cup when a non-League team beats the big boys, do the FA stamp down and say 'Pitch Invasions of any kind, whether it is good natured or not will be frowned up and clubs heavily punished'. What we saw yesterday, clearly was not in good spirits, despite there team getting to Wembley.

Great refereeing in the Man Utd - Arsenal game tonight, absolutely brilliant, best I've seen for a long time. Also pleased with the result, can't stand Man Utd, hate the fact that they're winging because they haven't won a trophy for a couple of years, try supporting a club who have never won anything in your lifetime or the 29 years beforehand.

Aye, I quite like Michael Oliver as a ref. Very fair tonight, and got all the big calls 100% spot on. I don't care what they say about Di Maria. End of the day, he put his hands on an official in aggression, which is violent conduct.

I thought the game itself was a really good end to end game of football. One of the best I've seen this season, and it's set us up with a good semi final draw. Potential for an Arsenal v Liverpool final too. Smile

Was disgraceful the diving like!
No need for it at all, Januzaj's dive was blatant.

But I agree it was great refereeing.

Di Maria was stupid, getting. booked for diving, then grabbing the Refs shirt, idiot, the one thing players should never do on the pitch, should never lay a hand on the ref.

I think it is brilliant there on a slide, couldn't happen to a bigger bunch of wankers...

Bradford/Reading v Arsenal
Aston Villa v Liverpool/Blackburn

Would love to see a final that does not feature a top flight team at all, would be unprecedented in this day and age

Amongst all of the bad refereeing in the Premier League this season, it's great to see a young ref (from Northumberland Big Grin  ), come through and put most of the rest to shame. Think the rest of the referees need to sit down and watch his performance tonight, I know every time I've seen him he's been very fair as you say, and gets most of the big calls correct.

Would love to see an Arsenal - Liverpool final, have a sneaky feeling Villa might beat Blackburn/ Liverpool though Undecided

Would love to see any 2 of the 3 non-PL teams in the final...

The bookies will say it will most likely be Liverpool v Arsenal, but I think Villa will end up in the final, and possibly go all the way, would not mind that, despite the fact I hate Tim Sherwood, I have always had a soft spot for Aston Villa Big Grin

Has someone got something against Shearer?
First they stick Gullit alongside him and now Roy Keane.

Out of all of the ex-players, managers or pundits kicking around out there, they have picked two guys who were notorious and very outspoken in their dislike for Shearer.

Saying that, they're no Hill/Venables combo like.

Loved watching them two argue.

I thought Gullit and Shearer have done alright together when they have been together on MOTD...

As for Keane, when did he sign with the BBC, last time I saw him he was on ITV with the Fat Baggies Supporting Brummie

Keane was a pundit tonight.

Lineker has been stirring the Shearer/Gullit thing. He said something on MOTD about managers leaving key strikers on the bench for important games - or something along those lines.

That was a few weeks ago iirc, didn't Shearer also make some kind of comment about it as well...

I could never fathom why Shearer was left on the bench that night, and Duncan Ferguson as well, I heard not long after, Ferguson verbally laid into Gullit after that match and went ballistic with him

Theres one man I would not want to fuck witb...Big Duncan, I still remember him being sent to jail for nutting an opposition player...He had 4 convictions for assault

1 for a fight with a fisherman, 1 for nutting a copper, 1 for kicking and punching a fan on crutches and for nutting John McStay for which he served 3 months.

The funniest one with Ferguson was when he caught 2 burglars in his house, 1 got away, the other ended up in hospital for 3 days...If your gonna burgle someone dont do it to Duncan Ferguson, it will only end in tears Big Grin
