This is the same service numbering as used by TGM Classic but for some reason the Durham County Council timetable uses the 701 etc numbering. I guess that DCC and Scarlet Band need to agree how the numbering should be allocated. My proposal would be to stick with the 8** numbering. A good result, the Scarlet Band bus is displaying service 701 on its destination board this morning. DCC still have some work to do as the illuminated sign showing next bus on top of the bus shelters still shows 811 as does the paper timetable inside the bus shelter (based on Red Lion bus shelter). |

Scarlet Band
Scarlet Band have added 4 more Optare Solo's to their fleet. These are YT51EAY, MX55WCZ, YJ06YRD and YJ06YRE. Optare Delta M792HCU, Vario R150UAL and Sprinter NK04VMD have all departed. Leyland Tiger J25UNY has been withdrawn. Additionally, Optare Solo MX55WCZ has now been painted into green livery for new service 20 starting in a few weeks.

Loved them buses and travelled on that one quite a bit. Does anyone know where it has gone? |

RE: Scarlet Band
A few changes to Scarlet Band services from this weekend:
Darlington service 20 New service linking Hurworth, Neasham, Darlington, Sadberge, Great Stainton and Bishopton running 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) Timetable here Spennymoor service 110 Re-routing of service to operate direct from Spennymoor to Ferryhill via Thinford, operating hours extended and re-timed to depart Spennymoor at 45 mins past the hour, from 0945 to 1745 (current last journey at 1422) Timetable here Spennymoor service 111 Minor retiming and 0831 from Spennymoor (school hols) withdrawn Timetable here Spennymoor service 112 Service completely revised to run from Spennymoor to West Cornforth only (via Green Lane and Metal Bridge... giving Metal Bridge an hourly service!), no longer serving Ferryhill or Kirk Merrington Timetable here Spennymoor service 113 Retiming to depart Bishop Auckland at 5 min past the hour, and Wood Lane at 35 mins past. Also believe it will be re-routed between Bishop and Spennymoor to give a more direct service (but the timetable doesn't give any detail). Timetable here Durham service 42 New addition to the Scarlet Band operation is service 42 between Durham and Brasside to give an (almost) half hourly frequency with the commercial Arriva service. Timetable here Durham service 252 Taking over the operation from Durham CC, Scarlet Band will run service 252 to Whitesmocks during the day Timetable here Service 115 Spennymoor-Greenways will no longer be operated by Scarlet Band after losing the contract. I understand the changes to 110/111/112 are as a result of Scarlet Band taking them on commercially, they will use 2 buses (PVR -1). Service 20 is as a result of funding from eVolution and the parish councils in the villages and will be run by branded Solo MX55WCZ. RE: Scarlet Band
If Scarlet Band retimed there X49 (Brandon-Durham) then there could of merge their new service 42 into a X49 Brandon-Durham-Arnison Centre-Brasside.

RE: Scarlet Band Motors
That would be interesting - however the X49 is commercial and the 42 is a DCC contract so they'd have to talk to the council. Would provide some cross-city links though.
