(31 Aug 2014, 10:29 am)Dan Following the loss of services 37/73 last month, "Nexus" branded Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 635 (NK61 FJP) and 636 (NK61 FMD) have been allocated to service 38, converting this service to a cheaper minibus operation. This has in turn allowed for DAF SB120/Wright Cadet 8273 (NK54 NLD) to transfer from Deptford Depot to Chester-le-Street, where it will be allocated to service 71. As such, a "Lime" branded Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown has been withdrawn from service.

(31 Aug 2014, 11:43 am)Tom Haha, bet he's not happy
Glad 3814 is gone. 3828 should be kept. It's the best one of the 3 mentioned in that paragraph. I'm
also trying to work out which scholar service for St Bedes the solar will go onto, providing I'm not getting myself mistaken. 822 is the only one I can think of that would suit a single decker.
(31 Aug 2014, 11:42 am)Tom They are all just as bad in my opinion! Would rather have the Tridents than the crappy B7TL's. God help them if they go on the Coaster regulary! The seating layout is awful, and they won't be able to get up Rosehill Bank!
(31 Aug 2014, 11:43 am)aureolin Given that the 38 is only partially secured, are we likely to see 635 and 636 in the paint shop? Similarly how Arriva don't use Nexus liveried vehicles on the M2/M3 evening runs...

(31 Aug 2014, 11:39 am)Dan No bother!
Hope you don't mind - I've shortened your quote down... The post itself was rather large indeed, so I think it'll be best to shorten the subsequent quotes too.
Chester may temporarily make use of the buses they should be withdrawing. Was 4852 your favourite? If so, you may hit lucky...

(31 Aug 2014, 11:44 am)Dan Unfortunately Stanley needs them to replace their Olympians, due to the higher seating capacity provided by the Tridents.
I love it when a Trident turns up on the 9, so I'm equally as disappointed.

Not something I have the answer to, I'm afraid.
As Go North East purchased the vehicles off their own back, I don't think there's anything which stipulates that those vehicles must only be used on Nexus-secured services, despite the livery which they carry.
I'd like to see them go into corporate livery (even better, SimpliCity, and incorporate the 38 into that brand), but I'm doubtful it will happen.

(31 Aug 2014, 11:41 am)Marcus Andreos - what will the FPF make of the cadets??
(31 Aug 2014, 11:59 am)Andreos Constantopolous Chester and Cadets. What a combination!
Will see how long it is before they burn out.
Can't see the Cadets appearing on owt but the 71. Imagine them on the 28, 34 or x25?!
