(07 Oct 2013, 6:51 am)Daniel I love the ALX200s... Great when one shows up!
33101 is actually my favorite bus in the Sunderland fleet, and I know she's loved by quite a few others too. I'm still hoping someone will preserve her!
I used to be quite the opposite. Absolutely hated them before.

Newcastle's ALX200's are absolutely knack'd. Isn't any good ones over here! Sooner they're in Alphas the better....!
Bit of a topsy-turvy day in Newcastle for allocations today;
27507 allocated onto the 35 today whilst 27510 (IIRC) was X47,
39723 made the 62's,
33122 was on the X63, which looked like it was replaced by 10000 by tea time,
At least two "1" branded Tridents making the 22.
On a slightly different note... It appears E400 19199 has had a rear advert applied.

(08 Oct 2013, 5:22 pm)JakeSavage Was it on all day service? I know a decker provides the duplicate on the 0723 Walker to South Gosforth each day, before heading on to service 1 at four lane ends. But all day service on the 18 would be very unusual indeed !

Sunderland councils are to receive a further Green Bus funding for 23 new electric, hybrid or biomethane gas powered buses. Type not specified at this moment. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/green...re-funding
Must actually note, that operator isn't specified. One would assume this is SC due to the successful bid of their Gas Scanias. Time shall tell...

(09 Oct 2013, 7:15 am)DavidP Call me an old cynic, but my experience of Government Press Releases is that they are full of spin and don't always mean what we think they mean on first reading. Sometimes such releases simply "re-announce" old news and I wonder whether these "23 buses" include the 17 Scanias about to be delivered. I hope not but ...
