(25 Apr 2014, 2:36 pm)Kuyoyo PB0001987/37 - CLEVELAND TRANSIT LTD T/A STAGECOACH NORTHEAST, ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, NORTH BRIDGE STREET, SUNDERLAND, SR5 1AQ
Variation Accepted: Operating between Clavering and Owton Manor given service number 6 effective from 15-Jun-2014. To amend Route and Timetable.

Anyone know what these changes are?

(25 Apr 2014, 4:48 pm)Michael One of Sunderland's new enviro's is running around with half light orange and half dark orange front destination plate

There's a destination display on one of the gas buses which is incredibly dim. I find it difficult to read from a distance. Has been like that since new as I first noticed it at the Open Day - but it has seemingly gotten progressively worse.

Wonder what the problem is then

(25 Apr 2014, 6:03 pm)AIG20 Oh dear! I wonder what the problem is? Some of the E300s, in the past few weeks/months, have sounded terrible whilst idling/stationary. Instead of the nice usual smooth hum, rattling and clunky noises have been coming from the engine.

It's not an engine problem

(25 Apr 2014, 6:56 pm)AIG20 I know that it isn't an engine problem, because if it was, the engineers probably would immediately sort it out. Smile I think its mainly just a sign of ageing and heavy usage.

Or a broken spring which the e300s quite commonly get.

(26 Apr 2014, 8:58 pm)AIG20 Is that what the "squeaking" and "screeching" noises from the suspension eventually lead to, as that used to be an annoying issue with the E300s. Thankfully that issue has not occurred in a while.

You'll be surprised, they've went through quite a lot of springs in last 4 months lol

(28 Apr 2014, 3:02 pm)AIG20 Thursday is the 1st May! So I guess the further 23 gas buses may start arriving next week - if the production is not behind schedule. Smile

Hopefully, last delivery was on time so i would say these 1's will be.

Any one know any sites you can go on to check progress on them?

Gregg Collins, who delivers the vehicles, often uploads photographs of them on the day of delivery - he sometimes even uploads photographs of them while they are being stored. Certainly the best place to go for updates on ADL deliveries, I feel.

You should be good for updates then. Wink

My mam walks the dog to Roker and back via the Wheatsheaf every day, so I've asked her to keep an eye out for any gas buses which have '14' in the registration... Should she see any, I'll go out for a photo.

I've had half an hour spare, so I've updated the Stagecoach North East fleet lists - the last one of the four which had to be updated (including T&W Metro which has also had an update!)

Will no doubt need to be updated again in a few days once this period's fleet cards are circulated and Richard updates his fleet list!

(28 Apr 2014, 5:04 pm)AIG20 Interesting, I wonder whether the route changes relate to just the city centre; or to the majority of the service.

In addition, are these the only Stagecoach North East service changes on VOSA at the moment?

Ye atm, more might appear tomorrow

Gregg has confirmed he no longer works for the delivery company (he received a better job offer) so there will be no more photos from ADL by him only those passing through the yard in Leyland.

To give you an idea on ADL at present, going on the order sheet I have - Scarborough is currently 3 weeks ahead at present while Falkirk is about 2 weeks ahead. The date for the first of the next batch of Scania K230UBs is 23rd May leading up to the 27th June.

Any info on how many will arrive together?
