(04 Mar 2015, 10:15 pm)tyresmoke Or are due to go.... Many of them seen in the last few days still trundling around!Aye - that's why I said "will go" first, clearly assuming that Durham don't just give in and send the Geminis without replacement, making themselves short!

(05 Mar 2015, 8:40 am)tyresmoke Little update 1416 has transferred to Darlington in a swap with 1493 which is now at Blyth.

Saw one of them the other day at Jesmond, accounting for why 7626/27 are still in service. I am sure all of the Volvo B7s are in service at Jesmond, too, as I have seen them on scholars and normal public services over the past few days alone.

(05 Mar 2015, 11:16 am)Jimmi No doubt this swap has happened to save money refurbishing another bus to MAX standard, presumably will be used on the X75/X76 when it becomes MAX.It's on the 2 at the minute
Will have to lookout for 1416 for the next few days, so if anyone sees it let me know.

It is strange that. Unless Blyth have etched the Darlington-ness and the X1 promo stuff off and kept the "people are disappearing" bit.

(05 Mar 2015, 6:56 pm)aureolin It'd seem they're already short over at Durham. I had a response from management regarding my 'concerns' about capacity, and they've said that another decker has been put in to the X12 PVR (presumably replacing a Pulsar). They noted further in the email that they're trying to source further deckers, but they're having difficulty in doing so at present.

(05 Mar 2015, 6:59 pm)Dan Yeah, the extra double decker is as a result of the transfer of 7610 from Blyth to Durham (converted to "MAX" spec in the process). It replaced 1416 which had already been converted to "MAX" spec for the X12. Full PVR is now made up of double deckers, and 1415 should be the spare (once all vehicles are converted)?
Clearly the deckers being sourced while the Geminis are away for refurb are the ALX400s. Jesmond, despite having extra buses following the transfer of Volvo B7s from Whitby, must also be short if they're refusing to release the ALX400s which Durham should rightly have at present...

(05 Mar 2015, 7:04 pm)Kuyoyo As I understand it, 1404-7 are the planned X75/X76 vehicles so they'd have a spare. The X1 however is only getting 5 Streetlites to cover 5 boards........

(05 Mar 2015, 7:07 pm)Dan But 1416 is "MAX" branded... Why would it be the spare for a "Sapphire" spec service - if this is what you are suggesting?
Appreciate Ashington seem to treat "MAX" spec vehicles as their first spares for "Sapphire" services and the "MAX" service receives a corporate liveried vehicle instead - but that's absolutely crazy...
