Has that got anything to do with the need to find some Tridents at short notice to replace the Olympians in North Bristol? Some older E400s into Gloucester would enable such as cascade.

(12 Dec 2019, 3:54 pm)idiot E400 on 4 earlier. Sticking it in here so if people want pics.
It was 19643, although has since been replaced and has ended up on the X34.
It seems to have turned out bad for Sunderland running the X34, and that increasingly rare alloactions are occurring all over as a result. Additionaly changing drivers in Harton seems to be delaying the service by a few minutes, which hasnt helped with the recent issues at Testos.
My suggestion for an improvement is to introduce Double Decker vehicles on both the X24 & X34 and allow the services to interwork in Newcastle, and for driver changeovers to take place at Sunderland.

Although I agree it would be nice to see the X24/X34 interwork with deckers, out of peak times I dont think the X24 would justify them.
I think it is all down to the roadworks at Testo's thats causing the delays rather than being operated from Sunderland, the X34 was fine before the roadworks started. At least Sunderland have more spare vehicles than South Shields, to help combat the late running.
(12 Dec 2019, 4:28 pm)pbjd Where do you think X34 changeovers took place when ran by Shields depot? And where do you suggest they do them instead as they need to be standalone due to branding?

19643 is the only X34 branded bus so I don't think that's the case...
(12 Dec 2019, 10:25 pm)idiot 19642 on 4 now. Doesn't feel right sitting on a local Sunderland service on a decker!
Mind £1.90 from Vine Place to SoL is scandalous. But I won't get started on single fares again..
For an extra 10p you can get a Nightrider I believe...
