That's looking very green for Xlines.

Looks like Angel green to me (wouldn't entirely surprise me if Angel is the next one to go roadstripe).

EDIT: Someone on another thread has said it's 6331; formerly Angel, X21 and X45/6/7.

That's a lot of paintjobs for a bus which is not that old.....

I’m guessing it will be some sort of special bus similar to the One Team GNE livery.

Definitely for CLS or Consett. But I don't have a clue what for. There is no way Deptford are getting a streetdeck

Let’s hope one area isn’t getting its routes all rebranded into random shapes like Sunderland got random colours (& hair colours).

“This is the zig-zag XX service to Y”.

Back of bus: ‘Zig-zag your way around the doors to Y’.

6331 is carrying an advert for Flexibility, a Car Club share scheme with added bus travel. One of Martijn's ideas I believe.

Flexility - https://www.co-wheels.org.uk/flexility

A pointless initiative that aims to eliminate the need to own a car as you can get a bus to pick up a car in a uselessly limited handful of locations, or drive to catch a bus that might go somewhere near where you want to be, but you probably can't park your hire car anywhere near where it stops.

Just looked at where the cars are. Ideal if you travel on the 21 or 309.

Good job 6331 will be the spare bus for the 21!

Personally I didn’t like the idea of introducing yet another card to the mix.
However I do know of several people here in the city who use public transport by default as they don’t have their own car and simply borrow a CoWheels car or van when they need one.
They’re dotted around numerous central and inner city locations here where a greater percentage of residents are unlikely to own their own vehicle.
I can’t speak for those outside of Newcastle but I definitely think it’s a viable option here as  many high streets have a shared vehicle based  there.
Will be interesting to see how successful this GNE/Co Wheels Club partnership will be, if figures are released to the public… which will probably only be the case if successful.

I do think it would’ve been better for the partnership to with NEBus (all operators) & Nexus Metro & Ferry so it could just work through POP cards and therefore open to more people. Maybe something for the future if the current partnership is a hit.

The amount of cars at Gateshead Civic Centre is highly ironic when you look at the Council's anti car policy.

I'm looking at the locations and they are all located next to areas with extremely high bus frequencies - surely these are the areas we shouldn't be targeting?

Anti car policy? I would see it more a pro cycle and public transport policy? If it was anti car would they have not banned cars from gateshead all togther rather than trying to divert them from the tyne bridge area ( which they were mandated to do btw)/

See, I read it differently. Keep it alongside the 21 and 309 routes and allow people to drive places where the 21 and 309 don't go.
Essentially creating a hub n spoke with all but one of the spokes being a bus.

Maybe realising the rest of the network isn't cracked up like its meant to be.

No use though if you can't get to Durham Road / Coast Road in the first place though which kinda defeats the point of that.

Surely the point would be to get the car to those then use the bus rather than the other way around.

Yeah, of course. That's the way I would have modelled it.

You also have to add to the fact it's not going to be guranteed that there will be a car in that certain location waiting for you either.

You book it though don’t you? You don’t just rock up like you would with a bus.

To be fair, the 25 and X21 also run through Low Fell - so it’s an appropriate spare vehicle for all three services.

6331 is back in service today

I wish they’d kept black light surrounds on the Xlines and Corporate streetdecks.

My guess is that they only kept them black on this as the zigzags would've probably looked awful on them.

I’ve googled this exciting new bus company Flexility and it turns out after scrolling down to the 4th result and past some google faqs there’s a result linking to the actual initiative.

No shortage in the paint budget but cutting back in the SEO and marketing department?

Agreed, they look good in red aswell as most the London buses are painted with the black. Can tell it's how it's meant to be, same as the thin line of black that goes across in the narrow gap behind the Wright logo.

I remember Mr Stenning saying that he had a say on how the front of the StreetDeck/Gemini 3 was designed. So I don't think there is a correct way of doing it...

I noticed this afternoon there was 2 Electric BMW i3 with Co Wheels logo's on them parked in the Cross Keys Lane Car Park in Low Fell when I was coming back down home from the shops.
