Is there a bus wash at the Alnwick outstation?
Both 7521 on Friday night and 7513 yesterday afternoon were filthy, with what was quite obviously more than a days dirt. Most of the other vehicles I saw on my trips were very dirty as well.

(26 Jan 2015, 4:21 pm)Tommy_1581 According to the supervisor, they'll get it branded, program the blinds, download the next stop announcements and then put it into service.
That shouldn't take too long should it?

I'd imagine you could program the blinds (as they should only need a maximum of 4 routes), download the next stop announcements and brand it at the same time?

All of the depot routes will be in one programme, normally takes about 2 to 3 mins to download it into the drivers console.

So in theory, if they got their act together, they could have it out by tomorrow, rather than using MAX vehicles that should be allocated elsewhere?

well the destinations like I say take about 2 to 3 mins, likewise the Next Stop data is a 5 min job MAX (get it), so in theory yes!

(26 Jan 2015, 9:09 pm)Tom I'm gathering you rode them?
What did you think of them?

I thought they were brilliant, they seemed to handle even the steeper hills/inclines pretty well and the seats seemed pretty comfortable. So these seem to be a very good buy for the X93. Only criticism is on the two I rode I couldn't acesss the WiFi on either of them (wasn't even showing up on the list of WiFi networks so I'm guessing it wasn't turned on).

The wifi on GNE vehicles are connected to the ignition, so they come on automatically when the engine is started, so guess these would be the same.  It might be that they might not have any SIM cards installed in them yet or there is a problem with the configuration settings or simply not wired in.

Are the MAX E400's EVER allocated to the 14/X14?
Always seems to be a DAF every time I see it.

It's not great really, as people in Rothubry expecting a MAX spec vehicle get a ALX400!
