With "Toon Link" service 12 being upgraded with the former "Blaydon Racers" branded Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro vehicles, now internally refurbished and repainted into a plain black base livery, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Stanley. Upcoming service changes in May will see the "Toon Link" brand encompass services 6, X30/X31 and X70/X71 with a mixed allocation of Scania OmniCitys and Scania OmniDekkas (the latter of which are currently undergoing repaint). This vehicle's sub-branding for service 12 is planned to be stripped and replaced with new branding imminently.

This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.

Serving as a replacement for Transbus MPD/Transbus Mini Pointer 570 (NK53 TMU) which was withdrawn having sustained defects uneconomical to repair, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Deptford.
Previously with Stagecoach West Scotland; this vehicle has transferred to the Stagecoach North East Division, and is currently being prepared for service at Stockton Depot. This vehicle has been acquired to operate the new X55 service, which commences operation from 19th May 2017. The new X55 service will operate a limited frequency on Saturdays only, operating between Greatham and Newcastle via Dalton Park, with positioning journeys to/from Stockton at the start and end of the day.
This vehicle has moved from Blyth to Blyth (Under Repair), whilst being refurbished and repainted to "MAX" specification. It is thought that "Coastliner" services 306/308 are both being upgraded to "MAX" specification. The existing Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 allocation will be retained on service 308, but service 306 will be revised to operate with VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 vehicles, with the existing "Coastliner" branded Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid allocation deployed elsewhere.
This vehicle has transferred from Slatyford (Reserve) to Sunderland (Reserve), and has also been treated to a repaint into Stagecoach's corporate livery.

Following the entry into service of the refurbished Mercedes Citaros on "Wear Xpress" service X5, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Chester-le-Street. From Sunday 19th March 2017; Go North East will introduce an improved 30-minute frequency to service 13 on Monday to Saturday daytimes, and it will interwork with services 14 and X25. The revised PVR will be 10, and 8 of the vehicles allocated will be single-deck Scania L94UB/Wright Solar vehicles, which are more reliable and will reduce fuel and maintenance costs.

Following the cascade of Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 4946 (NK51 OLM) and 4954 (NL02 ZRX) from Deptford Depot to Percy Main, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Percy Main and is currently receiving modifications at Thorntons Brothers, Ashington, ahead of impending cascade to the Driver Training fleet.
