It is thought that "Coastliner" services 306/308 are both being upgraded to "MAX" specification. The existing Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 allocation will be retained on service 308, but service 306 will be revised to operate with VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 vehicles, with the existing "Coastliner" branded Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid allocation deployed elsewhere.

New to Western Greyhound of Summercourt as fleet number 961 in September 2009, this vehicle passed to Plymouth Citybus in December 2014 where it gained fleet number 223. This vehicle has now been acquired by Go North East, where it has received fleet number 713. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot.
In line with the delivery of new Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid vehicles for the "Durham Diamond" 16/16A services, which is expected to see the cascade of the current "Durham Diamond" branded Mercedes Citaro 0530N/Mercedes Citaro vehicles to Deptford Depot for use on service X5, this vehicle has been repainted into Go North East's new corporate livery.
This vehicle has been repainted into Go North East's new corporate livery. The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. It is thought that further vinyls will be added at a later date, in order to reflect the quality and customer values of Go North East.
