This vehicle, which has become a visual representation of Go North East's 'One Team GNE' colleague and community network being launched to build upon the great strength and team spirit shown by its colleagues during the depths of the Coronavirus crisis, to work together to build even better relations across the company and the communities it serves, will do a 'tour' of all of Go North East's depots. It has therefore transferred from Washington Depot to Chester-le-Street.
While Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 6050 (NK12 GDE) is in use at Chester-le-Street, this vehicle has transferred from Chester-le-Street Depot to Washington in lieu. Whilst at Washington it will also be used for driver familiarisation purposes of the Wright StreetDeck vehicle type, prior to the delivery of similar examples for Washington later this year.

The return of the AD122 bus will help workers and visitors at businesses and attractions get to their destination if they are unable to use other forms of transport. Attractions opening from tomorrow include The Sill, Roman Army Museum, Vindolanda, Chesters Roman Fort, Corbridge Roman Town, Birdoswald Roman Fort and Housesteads Roman Fort, with any visitors having to book online in advance. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford to Hexham.

This vehicle has transferred on loan to Arriva Yorkshire, to provide cover for Dennis Dart SLF 4/Alexander Enviro 200 1058 (YJ09 CUH) and 1059 (YJ09 CUK) which are currently away receiving exhaust modifications.
In January 2020, Stagecoach Group unveiled a brand new look for its buses, with a commitment to simplify, modernise and enhance its customer experience. Taking on board feedback from customers, the Stagecoach created a new simplified and clearly colour coded design for its various bus services to make it easier and instantly recognisable for passengers to identify their required service, representing the three different types of journey; 'Azure blue' for its local bus services, 'Amber yellow' for longer distance services, and 'Ocean green' for specialist services. This vehicle has now been repainted into the 'Azure blue' livery.
Ahead of new vehicles being delivered for the "Red Kite" services; this vehicle has been stripped of all "Red Kite" vinyls, as a trial to see how the bodywork condition is impaired, should this need to be done in the event the buses aren't able to be repainted immediately.

Arriva North East's Darlington-based bus driver Steve Foster unexpectedly died overnight on Wednesday, June 10. The 54-year-old, who had worked in the region for almost three decades, regularly drove service X1. This bus, which was once branded as "The Best One" for service X1, was regularly driven by Steve. To mark his passing, this bus has been dedicated to Steve Foster, being named after him and also emblazoned with a rainbow.
This vehicle has received new sub-branding for service X20 on the external cant rail, showing the revised route details (Sunderland - Houghton-le-Spring - Durham - Langley Park) following the service changes which took place from Monday 1 June 2020.
