Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2014 - JoshP - 01 Sep 2014 When the OmniCities go for their MAX refurb for the X66, what busses are to be used for replacements on the route until the Omni's return? RE: Arriva North East - Latest - northern156 - 01 Sep 2014 Welcome Back by Northern156, on Flickr 4661 worked the first 185 under Arriva operation this morning. Notably this was also the last Omnicity to go along the route in December 2013 on the 685. Arriva North East - Latest - MrPottski - 01 Sep 2014 Spotted 4809 back at Faverdale last week, still awaiting some repairs, notice the absence of a glass door panel. http://flic.kr/p/oJa1yE http://flic.kr/p/oJapH2 RE: Arriva North East - Latest - G-CPTN - 01 Sep 2014 (01 Sep 2014, 9:11 am)northern156 wrote 4661 worked the first 185 under Arriva operation this morning. Does this run light from Jesmond? Or does it continue from one of the short runs to Hexham? RE: Arriva North East - Latest - northern156 - 01 Sep 2014 (01 Sep 2014, 9:35 am)G-CPTN wrote Does this run light from Jesmond? I was trying to work it out this morning, as it supposedly leads on from the 685. I'm not sure there are any more short runs to Hexham any more. Not sure because the Northumberland County Council timetable is different to the Arriva one on their website - it doesn't include the first bus into Carlisle Mon-Sat mornings. I think all 85/685s run straight through to Carlisle now, excepting X85s which go to Hexham - but there are two eastbound ones in the morning and two westbound ones in the evening. If the 185 vehicle does run light from Jesmond, I don't think the PVR would be the same for the amount of Omnicities they have though?? RE: Arriva North East - Latest - 56everyday - 01 Sep 2014 Two brand spanking new streetlites running past Heworth now toward Newcastle They're hideous RE: Arriva North East - Latest - 56everyday - 01 Sep 2014 Photo to follow RE: Arriva North East - Latest - 56everyday - 01 Sep 2014 This... Wouldn't say it's 'very unlikely', mind, unless there was a low bridge on the route preventing it from happening... Blyth have something of reputation in the odd workings field! RE: Arriva North East - Latest - Jimmi - 01 Sep 2014 Which stop in Framwellgate Moor does the 1704 X2 start from as it left from the Salutation Inn, Holmlands Crescent stop this afternoon. It should start from the stop where the bus gate is, near the Salutation Inn... Where the X2 would normally stop RE: Arriva North East - Latest - Jimmi - 01 Sep 2014 (01 Sep 2014, 5:21 pm)tyresmoke wrote It should start from the stop where the bus gate is, near the Salutation Inn... Where the X2 would normally stop Thought so, it would be stupid if it did stop at Holmlands Crescent as all other journeys leave from a different stop so that would be confusing. The other problem is I saw it on Fram Front Street at around 1650 and it can't pull straight onto the Salutation Bus Gate stop as it would stop other buses getting through. Yeah it finishes in Stockton at 1558, so gets over an hour to get there... I personally would find somewhere en-route to wait but each driver is different. As you say you can't really block the bus gate stop for 15 mins RE: Arriva North East - Latest - 56everyday - 01 Sep 2014 (01 Sep 2014, 2:41 pm)Tom wrote From what looks like a Gateshead Central Taxis vehcile!
