I agree that operating down Blackett Street could be more difficult in terms of congestion, but by removing the interworking with the 32/A and 35, it's probably going to do the 35 some favours. It's got quite a bit of layover now, and it also doesn't have to wait if a 32/A has been delayed along its very long route.

During the closure periods, buses will divert straight down Hylton Bank, omitting South View, Rosemount and Greenbank Drive, rejoining original route. The diversion will take place in the opposite direction
Customers in the affected area are advised to use the established fixed bus stops at the top and bottom of Hylton Bank.
Clearly, whilst we will be attempting to operate Service 8 in accordance with published timetables, there is nonetheless the potential that some trips may be subject to delay.

Evening journeys on all routes are slightly retimed towards Middlesbrough, which sees the present even 15 minutes frequency only between Stockton and Middlesbrough inbound (38s are retimed to move the large layover at the Glebe throughout the route to Stockton, which leaves a 13/17 gap between 36s and the 38).
39: In order to combat ever increasing traffic levels, some Monday to Friday early morning journeys will operate slightly earlier or later, and afternoon buses after approximately 1430 are also amended. Most late evening journeys after approximately 2000 will also depart from the bus station 1 minute later (but same times as now throughout the rest of the route, reducing the round trip time to 29 minutes from the current 30).
And now, thanks to Connect Tees Valley, the 12 is reverting back to its original route in Coulby Newham, serving the stops at The Rainbow Centre in both directions (presently only served into Middlesbrough).

Closure of Pallion Subway (Southbound) - from 6 April 2016 - affecting Services 11 and 19

The work will commence on 6 April, and last approximately 3 days. This is due to the construction of the new Wear Bridge.
The services will be diverted as follows:
Services 11 and 19 – from the roundabout near Pallion Metro Station, the service will divert straight up European Way, down St Luke’s Road, serving Pallion, then rejoining original route. Service 11 from the terminus towards the City Centre, and Service 18 will not be affected.
Whilst we will endeavour to minimise any disruption, Stagecoach would like to apologise for any inconvenience or delays this temporary road closure may cause, which is due to circumstances beyond our control.

I thought they would of wanted them to change on the same day, especially when the GNE service 33 will be going down the docks and the NEXUS contract changes.
Does this mean we will see the 5/5A and the 33 going down to docks until the Stagecoach changes come in to force?

Really?, that's surprising, most of the Sunderland services are busy and warrent a bus every 10 minutes.
I would think the 5/8/18/19 will stay every 30 minutes with the 10/11 staying every 15 minutes.
If the changes are the buses going to every 12 minutes, i wonder if this means the 12 will gain gas buses due to some of them becoming available, removing the darts and maybe the MAN buses from Sunderland.

Not sure, i think Mrnut works for Stagecoach so he'll know more than us but he can only say a limited amount of info at the moment.

PVRs if they drop to every 12 minutes: (Think it'll be right) also not incuding the likes of the 8/10/11/18/19 as they arent every 10 minutes.

The 12 is a popular and fast route from Silksworth to the city centre.
Surely it can't be axed??
