The E200s went a while ago due to unreliability - they bought the 07 Solo to go on the 84, and the two red Solos cover the 56/82/88 and 87 diagrams, with B10BLE as backup. And as a regular user of the 84 (for obvious reasons), YJ07VRK is ok but it has been known to be getting crowded on certain journeys - plus something with a bit more capacity maybe handy once the Bridge Closure on Durham Road starts in May depending on whether or not Stagecoach stick with the diversion the drivers have been informed of (which could mean further up Durham Road could be seeing 3 58s together) RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - biglugs@yahoo.com - 15 Apr 2016
And as a regular user of the 84 (for obvious reasons), YJ07VRK is ok but it has been known to be getting crowded on certain journeys - plus something with a bit more capacity maybe handy once the Bridge Closure on Durham Road starts in May depending on whether or not Stagecoach stick with the diversion the drivers have been informed of (which could mean further up Durham Road could be seeing 3 58s together)
I'd say 21145 would be a good vehicle for the 84 but it should be a newer bus RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - Jatkin - 16 Apr 2016 Solo's go through £80 of diesel a day on the 84, the B10's manage to consume £160 worth.. Do the maths! RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - Kuyoyo - 16 Apr 2016 I would also add that VAG606R is somewhat overkill on most trips on the 84, it's just a small number that can get overcrowded on YJ07. Normally ones where the 58 is missing... That and also we've got work going on in Stillington at present that will soon extend past the last stop in the village so they'll need to be some temporary arrangements put in place when that eventually happens. And of all the other places to turn round, VAG is a bit too large. RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - Cock Robin - 16 Apr 2016 They should miss Stillington out for the duration of the roadworks. Maybe serve Bishopton instead. RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - jaimzm - 16 Apr 2016 how diesel would the MPDs go through that they are getting RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - biglugs@yahoo.com - 16 Apr 2016 (16 Apr 2016, 1:44 pm)jaimzm wrote how diesel would the MPDs go through that they are getting 504 and 501 run on cooking oil RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - jaimzm - 16 Apr 2016 (16 Apr 2016, 1:46 pm)biglugs@yahoo.com wrote 504 and 501 run on cooking oil hahaha wow oh well if i want chips cooked i can use the bus haha RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - Kuyoyo - 16 Apr 2016 (16 Apr 2016, 12:56 pm)Cock Robin wrote They should miss Stillington out for the duration of the roadworks. Maybe serve Bishopton instead. Is that meant to be a dig? FYI Bishopton would be a complete write-off compared to serving Stillington. All we need is to know what is happening while the new cable pipes are laid for the new wind farm. Various rumors flying around about what will be happening. I wouldn't like to be the person who has to solve this one out RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - tyresmoke - 22 Apr 2016 Olympian S650KJU has been involved in an accident and unfortunately written off due to the damage received. A temporary replacement is due soon RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown - Kuyoyo - 26 Apr 2016 That temporary replacement being DAF DB250 LJ03MVD from Holmeswood, filling fleet number 29 for now.
