I'd have thought they'd pay excess fares to cover employee disruption anyway, like most do. Its a great opportunity for the company since they withdrew all their service work which would be giving them even more money than the private hires they just went down to. This obviously started to take effect hence why they started putting bids in for Scholars services and in most cases have been successful. This obviously started to take effect hence why they started putting bids in for Scholars services and in most cases have been successful. We have been running 7 service buses for a few years now, the latest contacts takes us up to 12 vehicles from Setember. The services were never really withdrawn, Go Ahead purchased the Stanley Buses brand as it needed substantial investment to continue its development and At that time it was felt it would be better to develop the fledgling private hire and tour areas of the business. We went back into service work after 3 years on a fully subsided basis as was always the plan. We inherited the 806/807 (now 706/707/708) from Hunters who could no longer operate it. This latest shot at tenders was to replace r6 and r7's work that was ending today, we were just slightly more successful than we expected. .... Trust me it took a lot of discussion and calculations on if we should take all 7 workings we were offered, but in the end we went for it over the park and ride contact for DCC, which would have required a much larger investment in vehicles. Only 2 of the current deckers are in Stanley now, and we will have to take on 5 additional drivers to cover the new contracts, and it will be made clear from the start that they may be required to be based outside of Stanley. With the misc workings we have to follow a nexus duty board so don't get any say in the workings etc. RE: Stanley Travel - S813 FVK - 29 Jul 2014 (28 Jul 2014, 11:14 pm)andy1977 wrote Yup, that's exactly the way the duty board from Nexus has it! The 886 gets to St Thomas More, Blaydon at 1525. Which is fine. However, nexus give the driver no time to load up there as the 845 departs the school also at 1525. Id like to see how the driver keeps up with the schedule. RE: Stanley Travel - nk55 - 29 Jul 2014 (29 Jul 2014, 8:56 am)Robert wrote However what i dont understand is looking at the timetables. I remember doing the 826 from harton comp to gypsy green stadium then having 5 mins to get to whitburn comp load up & depart.
