probably not linked to the closure,but the fact it came on the same day is a bit of double blow.

Tates are named on the list of 92 employers not paying some workers Minimum Wage (They are Number 63 on the list)

YY64GWX is now painted into a modified version of East Yorkshire livery (Gold replacing the Cream) and as per sister YX64VOO, it is branded for the X46 (Hull-York)

Think NEB maybe suffering from a few minor technical issues with its current operating system, as I am 100% positive it had Bazzas name on that above post, and not Kuyoyos, if this is found not to be the case then Kuyoyo I would advise you get yaself to Specsavers, as you've may of had an absolute clanger  Tongue

One people seem to have missed. In addition to B7RLE 369, B9TL 755 has been repainted into the same revised version of East Yorkshire livery as carried by B5TLs 796/7.

Following the collapse of Tates Travel last week, Arriva Yorkshire have taken on all of service 485 Wakefield - South Elmsall. This adds an extra 2 boards into the daytime amount at Wakefield depot. There are also various tendered early, evening and Sunday services that fits around existing daytime services. To help provide resources for this, the 3 boards on MAX service 126/127 (my old run at Dewsbury!) have been transferred from Wakefield to Dewsbury along with MAX Geminis 1516, 1517 and 1518. Added to the fleet at Wakefield are three vehicles on long term loan from the Arriva Bus & Coach dealer stock...

TM Travel are in the process of acquiring 6 Scania OmniDekkas from Metrobus - the first to arrive is YN56FDV with the other 5 due to arrive during March. They will replace the remaining Olympians with the operation.

As for the ex-36 Geminis, WYIS now lists 3601-7 for transfer to Lancashire United for the X41 (Blackburn-Manchester) replacing slightly newer sisters ex-Coastliner and Burnley Witch Way which may make their way to Keighley. 3608-12 are the examples destined for the 'CityZap' service.

In other news, Transdev York have introduced a new 'TadFaster' service between York and Tadcaster, initially funded by North Yorkshire County Council for the first 12 weeks and giving the east side of Tadcaster a bus service following the bridge collaspe during the Winter Storms. As such, Coastliner B10BLE 1015 (YD02 UMX) has moved back to York from Malton to operate the service.

As such, Harrogate's B7TL 2764 (PO55 PYL) has returned to Malton following its loan during the Summer 2015 season to fill in the gap until the start of the summer 2016 timetable and the arrival of the 11 new B5TLs.

It should also be mentioned that the present 'Transdev in Keighley' and 'Harrogate Connect' fleetnames are to be replaced in the forthcoming months by new 'The Keighley Bus Company' and 'The Harrogate Bus Company' ones.

And further details thanks to Phil Stockley:
  • All 6 have already been converted to single door prior to delivery
  • YN56FDV and 2 others will be entering service more-or-less upon completion of delivery checks in as-delivery condition due to a decker shortage following the withdrawl of a number of Olympians due to chassis corrosion (a common fault with Volvo Olympians)
  • The other 3 will be repainted prior to entering service (and possibly also treated to a re-trim)
  • These 3 will then swap with the other 3 to allow them to be repainted
  • Solo SR 506-8 and Solos 1194/1202 are to be branded for 'Line 6' very shortly

Due soon are a further 4 Volvo B8RLE/MCV Evolution numbered 392-5 (BU16 OYE/F/G/H).
