RE: Anything and Everything - Davie - 12 Oct 2015 (12 Oct 2015, 4:06 pm)Jimmi wrote How's everyone finding the 5p carrier bag charge? I decided to buy a bag for life thing from USC a few days before the charge came in. Some people aren't happy about this, I was in Sunderland on Saturday and I saw a woman carrying a load of shopping in her arms presumably not wanting to pay for carrier bags.I just carry stuff now. Aye, I noticed at the Greggs on the Valley, pretty pricey for the same food just to park ur ass on one of their seats. RE: Anything and Everything - MrFozz - 12 Oct 2015 (12 Oct 2015, 3:19 pm)Dan wrote Thanks, all! RE: Anything and Everything - S813 FVK - 12 Oct 2015 Carrying several bags around with us so we dont have to pay for one is an inconvenience and paying 5p for a bag is, also, an inconvenience. Seems thats all the government want to do. The other option of course is do what has already been mentioned. Don't ask for a bag and carry it. RE: Anything and Everything - Michael - 13 Oct 2015 Just ordered The Walking Dead Compendium Volume 3 (comics 97-144) =D RE: Anything and Everything - omnicity4659 - 14 Oct 2015 (12 Oct 2015, 4:33 pm)S813 FVK wrote The other option of course is do what has already been mentioned. Don't ask for a bag and carry it. That's what I did last night, the security idiot at Asda stopped me and asked why I was carrying a pizza... Plus, at Asda, you have to press the help button at a self service machine for a 5p bag... My mam went livid as she was told that she HAD to pay for a 5p carrier bag, (similar to the ones in the grocery aisle), even though she had Bags for Life already, to walk out with a chicken in a bag. The bag wasnt sealed properly and had grease all over it. We managed to get it for free... then it broke! RE: Anything and Everything - Michael - 14 Oct 2015 Has anyone seen this story about the British in Saudi Arabia..? I'm sorry its his own fault.... he was making his own wine.... in a country which bans it, he has also lived their for 25 years........ http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/13/karl-andree-briton-350-lashes-saudi-arabia-david-cameron RE: Anything and Everything - NK53 TKT - 14 Oct 2015 (14 Oct 2015, 11:56 am)Michael wrote Has anyone seen this story about the British in Saudi Arabia..?I agree, what do you expect? Saudi Arabia have a disgusting human rights record, and we should be doing all we can to support one of our citizens out there. The bid by the Ministry of Justice for the Saudi prisons training contract could have proved highly embarrassing had the government not pulled out and if the corporal punishment went ahead.. I know this lot tend to be a bit slow in the public displays of moral fibre stakes but good grief.
