Must say it'll be interesting to see if Arriva bid for the 415 and 434 when they come up for renewal. It made sense when they had the 57/57A midibus operated but to say they're a bit of headache would be a bit of an understatement.
Not sure they're really worth it to keep a microfleet of vehicles which are unreliable as an understatement, especially 2601. No doubt the same reason they ditched the 96 in Whitby aswell and it's not like they can just pick up some newer vehicles from elsewhere as these are the 'modern' midibuses in the Arriva fleet.

3051 hasn't gone to Redcar, it's gone to Ashington instead

True, I’ve been on the MFC minibus & it only have seats on it no tables or anything so must be a passenger carrier while the other MFC bus could be used as tables & games with TV like 4015 MFC Bus had

Unless they are looking at other options which might require smaller buses as well. With the train looking successful, there are opportunities that they may well be looking at. Apparently there's been a bit more pro-active thinking since the takeover. It would of course require a good business case for the investment though.

that's actually a great idea tbh & no 3051 is Ashington based not Redcars

Aye that's true mind, not sure where they'd get vehicles though. Have to be a massive business case for brand new vehicles as even the busy routes struggle for them lately. Then again, if they could - probably be better to just chuck a Pulsar on as there'll be a few going spare in the near future, I'd assume anyway, with the Blyth electrics.

Not sure it'd be a sensible vehicle to use personally they're a bit niche so parts in the future will be a nightmare compared to Solos which are still made even known they have a different design - but don't think much changed under the hood (happy to be corrected).

1534 will come off once the Evoras and Pulsars arrive - likewise with the remaining Temsas. It's non-standard within the fleet - despite being an SB200 like the Pulsars.

Btw, I can only assume it's just temporary. I'm unsure whether the minibus rota still exists but it's a full size bus because it has too many seats so is pointless being up here. There's lots of vehicles off the road lately though, including 2601/2603 (again).

3051 & 2841 are temporary due to 2601/2601 are of the road. On Saturday Ashington required 1 solo for definitely due to the 415/460. The 434 has to be solo allocated but can be a long bus if it can be. But them two are just here temporary till the two branded solos are back

Just curious, but does anyone know what's up with 7547, 7548 and 7564 at Ashington? Bar the odd day, all 3 have been pretty much stuck on the 1, 2 and 57/57A. Assume there's something wrong with all 3 of them?

7564 has an intermittent issue with its retarder at high speed I believe.
7547/8 have been dodgy for a while, so they may just be kept local for the time being. 7548 in particular has been a dog for a long time, including pre and post new engine.

Thanks for that, had a feeling there was something wrong with them. Noticed 7548 is the one pretty much living on the 57/57A which has seemed to become the new 35 where anything broken ends up on I've noticed.

Everyone knows 1439 is at Whitby/Redcar just because it was tracking on X21/2 in Newcastle doesn’t mean it’s actually on there

Although I'd be the first to point out that any Bustimes tracking should always be taken with a pinch of salt, and preferably a large dose of the Mk 1 Eyeball, I think it's going a bit far to say "Everyone knows ....." - those of us not intimately familiar with the disposition of the fleet are likely to need a confirmation of current allocations, and it might just be that a move HAS taken place and the vehicle concerned is no longer at the stated location.
(Also: If you're basing your post purely on a Bustimes output, it's usually advisable to say so, and possibly phrase your post as a question rather than a statement
)
