RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations - South Tyne Lad - 07 May 2016 Currently on Transdevs Cityzap and I have to rate this as one of the best bus services I have ever traveled on. Also the Volvo B7TL im currently on, 3612 is the second best of the type I've ever traveled on, Arrivas 7486 is the best out of all. RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations - northern156 - 07 May 2016 Been on a road trip in the car today; one of my jaunts was Whitby to York via Pickering (A169/A64) and passing various Coastliners (also passed a Cityzap on A64 just south west of York), I note the brand name is on the destination before it flicks to the service number and destination. I personally quite like this touch although I'm not sure how practical it is in reality. Waiting for a bus, for example, you see one come up and in the split seconds you have to flag it down, all you see is "Coastliner" - you're not sure whether it's going to Whitby or Scarborough. I can't see this becoming a huge, huge problem being a mostly long-distance and relatively low frequency brand but all the same, it has potential to confuse. Nice to see at least one of the services suddenly becoming commercially viable. Shame the others aren't. You get the feeling they are a lot less hard line commercially focussed there.
