Does the display not say Tindale Crescent even though that's where that journey was terminating? All the ones I've been on have had Bishop Auckland as the destination with 'and Tindale Crescent' where Via would normally be RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - Rapidsnap - 24 May 2019 Turns out only 692 is branded little coaster so far as I saw 691 tonight still in its blue base livery. Thought it was from of the bus related sites I follow but no...... its a person in wallsend complaining about putting a bus with that name north on the tyne ..... they were very surprised the bus still had it windows in! Would hate to think what would happen if a bus called the magpie was sent from percey main to sunderland! LOL RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - Michael - 26 May 2019 (26 May 2019, 7:01 am)Rob44 wrote just checked my facebook and saw a pic of "black cat" bus. Thought it was from of the bus related sites I follow but no...... its a person in wallsend complaining about putting a bus with that name north on the tyne ..... they were very surprised the bus still had it windows in! To be honest I don't know why someone has actually went out of their way to complain about a bus branding they don't like being in north tyneside. Would hate to think what would have thought when the 9 went to North Shields amd on a Sunday a black cats streetlite showed up for him. Honestly If people can moan about something as little as that they are stupid. Now if GNE see that I hope they swap the toon link omnicities and Hownsgill citaros over to depford and bring the black cats streetlites over to Riverside (and 3 to Hownsgill) for the X30 (since that used to be toonlink),the 6/X31 & (if they have enough the blaydon racer services on a Newcastle United match day to pee the fans off switching the traditional geordie brands for a Sunderland brand. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - L469 YVK - 26 May 2019 If GNE were to rebrand the Coaster in the future, would Coast & City not be a good name going forward? RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - Rob44 - 26 May 2019 Think it was more to do with "black cat" being Sunderland AFC nickname... toon link is to do with Newcastle City rather then the football club..... but I agree with you TBF RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - GNE6312 - 26 May 2019 (26 May 2019, 7:34 am)L469 YVK wrote If GNE were to rebrand the Coaster in the future, would Coast & City not be a good name going forward? Doesn't sound too bad that actually RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - deanmachine - 26 May 2019 Was probably more tongue in cheek to be honest. Plenty of Mags get on Black Cats branded buses in Washington, Jarrow, and Hebburn taking them to their connections to Newcastle already, with none of them blinking an eye. I even drove a Black Cats Scania on the 56 before, not a single comment about it. RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - Rob44 - 26 May 2019 totally agree dean but playing devils advocate washington, jarrow Hebburn as all south of tyne and the 56 goes to Sunderland. When its seen in wall send their's not much of a connection to Sunderland really and seem alot out of place> RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - Dan - 26 May 2019 (26 May 2019, 8:39 am)Michael wrote Anymore fleet changes happened?, as i know a few withdrawals and movements were delayed.638 is now at Riverside following completion of PSV test on Thursday. 5420 is in service at Riverside following repaint. 5266 is in service at Chester-le-Street following repaint - notably the front end is no longer in blue, instead back to plain red. Thanks for the update RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - V514DFT - 26 May 2019 Just to make it clear,IT WASNT ME who complained, yes i dont like the older solos but im not that low to complain about branding from the otherside of the water, personally i think the stupid pointless rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland needs to end, total waste of time RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - L469 YVK - 26 May 2019 Just thought about this. If the new route of the Fab 56 in Newcastle proves to be ok punctuality wise, could GNE end up doing this with the 57 on a PVR of 5x with it reverting back to running between Newcastle and Wardley only and service 310 being re-routed to serve Hadrian Park all of the time? The current combined PVR of the 57/309/310 stands at 25x but if the above happened, the combined PVR would reduce to 23x vehicles. Excellent news ![]() RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - May 2019 - L469 YVK - 26 May 2019 Just noticed on the 57 timetable, would it not make sense to include the late evening 310 journeys in the timetable? Further to my last post, 8301 is also now at Riverside.
