RE: New service X11 - Tiger5105 - 24 Apr 2021 Is there a dupe on X11 today, as if bustimes is right, there's only 26 seats free on 6377 by the time it got to Washington and 7111 is tracking on X9 today. There's 36/62 people on it at Guisborough according to the ticket machine which BusTimes used behind the scene. Does exactly what it says on the tin and no doubt will be a success if the route continues to be given the right backing and direction (by not missing Billingham haha *joke*). I believe the occupation thresholds are the limits for buses and it's used for like bands green below 34 is good, 35 - 40 close then 41+ is over capacity. I could be wrong but I believe it's there for the capacity tracking apps so would suggest 40 is the capacity. Also speaking of capacity (althogh off topic) one driver on the 8 allowed someone to get on and just stand today which was abit of a silly move especially when she acknowledged the vus was full abd still asked if the passenger wanted on. RE: New service X11 - citaro5284 - 24 Apr 2021 You also have to take into account that seats that face each other (over wheel arches and around tables) are out of use unless you are travelling in more than one's, so that brings the capacity down even further. Makes sense with the groups etc. Bit off topic I admit but what's the rules with groups as I'm guessing have 2 sets of twos couldn't sit next each other like XX - XX XX - XX XX - XX so guessing it'll have to be like XO - XX XX - OX XO - XX X's being people and O's being gaps which would reduce capacity regardless or is it allowed which wouldn't be a metre between people. RE: New service X11 - Adrian - 24 Apr 2021 (24 Apr 2021, 8:17 pm)Storx wrote Yeah that's fair points then. Makes sense with the groups etc. The rules are still to keep a 1 metre distance whilst wearing a face covering, I reckon the gangway is probably less than 0.5m on your average bus, so you shouldn't have two couples occupying two pairs of seats next to each other. RE: New service X11 - GNE6312 - 25 Apr 2021 Just tracked 7153 on the X11 today. Thank you, had a feeling that would've been the approach. Believe it's how trains and airlines (bar they're 3's) are currently doing it with reservations. Just 8 passengers iirc and I had the short Whitby-Scarborough section of the journey to myself (all stops were observed) RE: New service X11 - BusLoverMum - 27 Apr 2021 (24 Apr 2021, 7:36 pm)GNE6312 wrote I'd stick to an advisory capacity of 30-35 for a decker no matter who's travelling in groups. RE: New service X11 - Micheal Aaron - 29 Apr 2021 Go North East had made it official the X11 will now be ran by one of the new X9/X10 coach's. A duplicate bus will still be required (if needed) RE: New service X11 - streetdeckfan - 29 Apr 2021 Looks like the X11 will no longer be operated by 6377, but will now be operated by one of the X9/X10 coaches. https://twitter.com/gonortheast/status/1387683607469334532 Our Seasider X11 service will now be operated by one of our premium coaches, giving you even more comfort for your journey. I thought the reason for using 6377 over a coach was for the additional capacity, although if they're going to be running a duplicate anyway, it makes more sense to run the coaches which will presumably be more fuel efficient RE: New service X11 - Micheal Aaron - 29 Apr 2021 (29 Apr 2021, 8:34 am)streetdeckfan wrote Looks like the X11 will no longer be operated by 6377, but will now be operated by one of the X9/X10 coaches.Maybe it's because 6377 didn't run last Sunday and they have a spare X Lines Coach on a Sunday. Tbh it seems a better option in my opinion. It gives people a luxury trip down to Scarborough or Whitby. It can hold more people that 6377 can and it makes sense now RE: New service X11 - Rapidsnap - 29 Apr 2021 Plus it has an onboard Toilet. RE: New service X11 - Micheal Aaron - 29 Apr 2021 I think go North East hit a really good thing with this X11 if last weekend 6377 was full at Washington and now they have decided to put one of there brand new coaches on. They really did something mad here with a new holiday service. Question is wonder how full this service will be when it runs daily New service X11 - cbma06 - 29 Apr 2021 (29 Apr 2021, 8:41 am)Micheal Aaron wrote I think go North East hit a really good thing with this X11 if last weekend 6377 was full at Washington and now they have decided to put one of there brand new coaches on. I'm personally on water tablets for high blood pressure and it's a nightmare going for a walk for an hour nevermind several hours on a coach. I also carry a radar key and keep an empty bottle in the car. RE: New service X11 - 6049 - 29 Apr 2021 (25 Apr 2021, 11:53 am)Storx wrote Thank you, had a feeling that would've been the approach. I travelled on my own and only by luck did I have a gap in between myself and the person sat in my row. I logged on here expecting to see floods of praise for GNE providing a toilet en-route. RE: New service X11 - Micheal Aaron - 01 May 2021 Even with the X Lines Coach now. 7154 had to be duplicate by 6377 at Heworth. Goes to show how popular this service is getting RE: New service X11 - streetdeckfan - 01 May 2021 (01 May 2021, 9:32 am)Micheal Aaron wrote Even with the X Lines Coach now. 7154 had to be duplicate by 6377 at Heworth. Good thing it's continuing to be busy though! RE: New service X11 - Micheal Aaron - 02 May 2021 (01 May 2021, 10:57 pm)streetdeckfan wrote So really nowt's changed?
