RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - Busesinnewcastle - 26 May 2026 (26 May 2026, 10:04 pm)Brampton Trev wrote 11772 and 11774 both made it back to Newcastle today (Tuesday).... Yes they did that’s true. Anyone know how long they are at Carlisle for? RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - Glen1974 - 29 May 2026 Why is 83000 been off road so long is getting work on it I am sorry if I say before it been 29 days sense, it's been off the road now when going back on the road again? Why is 83000 been off road so long is getting work on it I am sorry if I say before it been 29 days sense, it's been off the road now when going back on the road again? RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - V514DFT - 29 May 2026 Here we go again RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - Glen1974 - 29 May 2026 Sorry it just question want hard about that? RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - TransitObserver - 29 May 2026 (29 May 2026, 7:01 am)Glen1974 wrote Sorry it just question want hard about that? You’ve been told many times…. Go down to the depot and ask if you’re that concerned! Same answer as before it needs re-certifying and they’re presumably waiting for a date! RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - TransitObserver - 29 May 2026 (17 May 2026, 12:42 pm)Kuyoyo wrote 2 of 6 deckers from across the country going on loan for the latest saga in the Preston Bus Wars pending the release of E400MMCs from Gillmoss once their charging infrastructure is online. I’ve had confirmation today from the manager that we have 11 Yutongs currently and expecting 7 more once the chargers are complete to give us a total of 18 even though only 15 buses on 30/31/36 now. That’ll be 73184-73188 (5 buses) not sure what the other 2 will be maybe a couple of them spares like 73121 that Slatyford have and 73120 that Sunderland have because I’m sure 73116-73119 are still up for grabs. I’ve forgot who told me now RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - 220631612 - 29 May 2026 (29 May 2026, 8:46 pm)TransitObserver wrote First I’ve heard of that 11172 and 11174 were meant to be going to Preston for the extension of the 111 there. Unsure if plans have now changed RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - V514DFT - 30 May 2026 (29 May 2026, 10:06 am)TransitObserver wrote You’ve been told many times…. Go down to the depot and ask if you’re that concerned!Starting to think he does it on purpose RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - TransitObserver - 30 May 2026 (29 May 2026, 9:59 pm)Busesinnewcastle wrote Ah right. I’ve forgot who told me now I’d be surprised if Slatyford do give up a couple of deckers for Preston when 10485, 10650 are long term VOR and constantly having problems with the other ones. 10485 and 10650 are in bits, both of them. I’m confused why 10485 got painted just to be broke and stripped for parts. I know I was wondering that seems pretty pointless RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - Rapidsnap - 30 May 2026 Bus companies do it all the time. Vehicles become Christmas trees donating usable parts to other vehicles to avoid having two off the road with different issues, then when all the parts come, they can restore the Christmas Tree back to servicable condition. That is a great definition! RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - Busesinnewcastle - 31 May 2026 (31 May 2026, 8:42 pm)TransitObserver wrote If you still use TikTok mate I’ve sent you a message on there Alright RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - TransitObserver - 03 Jun 2026 The news that Arriva are planning to close their Redcar depot and move everything to either Whitby or Stockton is sad news but it’s also got me thinking I’m surprised Stagecoach have never done it to South Shields or Hartlepool. Surely these 2 depots make the least amount of money in the North East and could easily have services ran from either Sunderland or Stockton. Folks of Shields weren't happy as Shields were not part of strike and yet half our services were affected. Keep Shields depot and just rebuild We lost Northern (GNE) and look how much the services were culled as a result. RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - TransitObserver - 03 Jun 2026 (03 Jun 2026, 8:46 am)LVK 404L wrote They did reduce the ops at Shields a few years back as mentioned previously If I’m not mistaken them 11 plate E300’s 277**’s were new to South Shields for the E1 E2 and E6 and when the routes went to Sunderland so did them buses. I’m going to assume the drivers at South Shields weren’t happy. It would be nice for them to keep Shields and invest give them some routes back etc because like you say Sunderland on strike E1/2/6 affected shields suffer and it’s not their fault. I remember South Tyneside council were not happy when the still fairly new E300s moved to Sunderland as they had part funded them RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - stagecoachbusdepot - 03 Jun 2026 (03 Jun 2026, 7:04 pm)Youngymmv wrote I remember South Tyneside council were not happy when the still fairly new E300s moved to Sunderland as they had part funded them Was June 2019 when they moved over so were over 8 years old by that point, which must be pretty much mid life for single decks typically. RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - V514DFT - 03 Jun 2026 Did i imagine this, did Walkergate have the X34 for a brief spell RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - deanmachine - 04 Jun 2026 (03 Jun 2026, 9:21 pm)stagecoachbusdepot wrote Was June 2019 when they moved over so were over 8 years old by that point, which must be pretty much mid life for single decks typically. It was the emissions upgrades for them that STC funded. Walkergate have never had X34 RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - citaro5284 - 04 Jun 2026 (04 Jun 2026, 5:04 am)LVK 404L wrote Imagined. Walkergate have never had X34 There was a X43 between Haymarket and Cramlington which was started because Northumbria under their Hunters company decided to extend their 365/366 into Newcastle from Freeman Hospital which Busways thought would take passengers off their 38. Both the extension and the X43 didnt last that long. The X43 lasted quite a few years 1995 long enough to get its own branded vehicle 2236 the first lo-liner which was an R plate so I’d say at least 4 years. The 365/366 extension didn’t last long. RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News - TransitObserver - 04 Jun 2026 24109 is now withdrawn! That has now brought an end to the MAN E300’s at Slatyford.
