If your travelling during the week follow any of the suggestions that I've gave you, if your travelling on Saturdays or Sundays use the WW1 from stand E in Ashington bus station, leaves 00/30 past and 15/45 from Woodhorn.

I would have wanted a one like 1790 or 1800

All the same in my opinion. Its only a ten minute journey. 1792/1800/1 are for use on 57 and 35 only, as they have WiFi provision.

Yep.

1300! We legged it off the X22 straight onto the WW1. Got back again just before 2 (we don't hang around!) to catch the 2-ish X21 back into Newcastle.

I got a free can of the cloudy stuff in Eldon Square, this afternoon.

Very sweet and gassy.

4658 is indeed NK05 GXN.

Seems to particularly be a few complaints about the Quorums from no shows or very late buses (X8) to ocecrowding when the commanders are used.

They wont have to wait much longer, its only going to last a couple more months.

would be nice to have 685 as a Sapphire as opposed to MAX

You mention this over and over.

NO. The 85/685 will NOT become Sapphire, as it will fall under Sapphire's guideline of 'every 20 minutes'.

Interesting 20 minute frequency here I see... https://www.arrivasapphire.co.uk/services1/38---crewe-to-macclesfield/

I'd agree here, I think long routes such as the 685 should, because of the way Arriva have equipped each service level, be Sapphire rather than MAX,

A power supply will be far more useful on a 2+ hour journey than it would be on short hops between Newcastle and Ashington (less than an hour), then again, Yorkshire MAX E400's have sockets....

I think the X18 could do with NSA's as well, think I may have mentioned it before, as it is a very touristy route. Not sure what the 685 is like as I've never used it.

I think higher spec vehicles on the 685 would be a good idea, I feel the buses should have better seating, the seats in the Stagecoach Gold buses would be brilliant on this route or the fabric seating on the Stagecoach 685's. Power sockets would be great on this route too, if the StreetLite's on the X1 Darlington - Tow Law can have them then I don't see why the 685 can't have them. Annoyingly Arriva now seem to limit the WiFi usage, I can only seem to get about an hours usage in a day across the Sapphire network. The same could be said for the X15/X18 and X93.

That's even better than the "15 minute" frequency now advertised for the 22/24 between them. They share about 5 miles in common at most - Durham through Leazes road and Gilesgate, plus a bit of the Shotton Colliery - Peterlee run. The rest is completely different and the buses go in opposite directions after Peterlee.
