Service 26 went to the forge. There should be some timetables in the bygone era on the site . But this week the 8 has been allocated the 63 plate E200s for some reason. I remember the George Bell 125 and 17, they ran quite a peculiar route via Gilley Law and Silksworth. Don't think it even lasted a year before it was re-routed and renumbered 25. Also didn't Favourite run an 8 with the 9 and 9A? Still on the subject of old Sunderland Busways routes, (I know its the latest news thread and is probably off topic) I had always assumed they switched from three digits (1xx) to single/double digits at deregulation (except the 104 with was an extension of the 4), however there are images of buses running on route 107 to Downhill and 110 to Pennywell. Did these routes also operate alongside their respective 7 and 10 routes? I remember the 7 running CBS - Witherwack via Newcastle Road, and the 10 presumably running the same route it does today. What could happen if for example, an E6 turns up late and the E1 turns up on time? As the driver would not be able to see if the stand is in use until they have entered the bus station? Most of the time that stand will be empty, meaning that E's will probably squat on it if D is occupied.
