Another thing I wanted to point out.
The 311. In my opinion this is a waste. Why
Number 1 the route replaced the old 57 which then replaced the old 58.
Number 2. Its branded Cobalt & Coast yet services non of them anyway
Number 3. The route is the same as the 310 to Hadrian Park then the 311 turns left into Hadrian Park
Number 4 it replaced the old 57 yet it got started at Haymarket. Why not start it where the 57 finshed
It forms an even more common combined frequency with the 309 & 310 on a reduced PVR (from 25x to 21x incl the 57).
Only thing they could do to increase patronage is change the interworking pattern so the 311 runs in front of the 310 heading to Newcastle.
I'd agree axing some early morning, most evening & all Sunday 311 journeys though and having the 310 run via Hadrian Park.

At least in Hexham, Gateshead and north Durham, Go North East is the main operator. Also in South Shields and Sunderland they are the main interurban operator. Given that Arriva have depots in Jesmond, Blyth and elsewhere in Northumberland, North Tyneside seems outside natural Go North East territory.

But Benton bridge has never been an issue. At a guess the 11/41 gets deckers because they run closer to the depot and it's easier to swap out a decker for a minibus later on.
As for the 19 it does use deckers, but only between High Flatworth and Northumberland Park on peak time extras.

GNE was always North Shields / Tynemouth and Wallsend with cross tunnel services from further afield connecting to their S. Tyneside network and pretty much all local services in North Tyneside.
Arriva was always Whitley Bay / Gosforth services plus the 306 and was mostly longer services and the Whitley locals.
Now it's a bit lost for GNE since they've pretty much abandoned most the local services and tunnel services with Stagecoach's 22 taking over Howdon so the few services they have left are mainly duplicates of Arriva services which they've always had.

Just the 319 ran by GCT which runs between North Shields and Jarrow on a daily basis.
You also have peak journies on the Stagecoach South Shields 10 and 11 to Cobalt.
You also have the Ferry Replacement if the ferry service has been sunk. Gives the oppotunity to go through the TT on a decker.

Talking about exploiting travel opportunities and emerging travel patterns:
- 96/96A to replace Newcastle > Metrocentre part of 1A/1B. Interworking with the 57.
- 1 renumbered back to 301 (avoiding conflict with Arriva's 1 service). To / from Gateshead only and extended to Blyth (via Ridley Park), Cowpen and Cambois. Would provide new links between North Tyneside and Blyth as well as access to the new battery plant due to open in the next few years.

I just wish Go North East would have a look at the North Tyneside network. See if things can improve. One thing I'd love to see is the 19 reroute through Annitsford then into cramlington hospital as Annitsford doesn't currently have a route to the hospital

Yea I remember when there changed drivers near the pedestrian tunnel north side, when the relief driver didn’t turn up , the driver had to take the bus to the bus depot so there can change drivers

Yes it does, X8 and 57A stop a 5 minute walk from the hospital doors.

It would be easier. Annitsford seems so disconnected from everything. One bus route to Newcastle every hour. One bus to North Shields every 30 mins. One bus to Kingston Park/Wallsend every hour. One bus to Whitley Bay every hour. Yet going towards cramlington. One every 15/20 minutes

If you genuinely wanted to sort this out then you should be talking to Arriva and the residents of Seghill about redirecting the 57/57A to do the hospital as it's their route rather than GNE. Seghill residents are always moaning about it especially now they lost the 57 to do the same route as the 19 from Delaval to High Pit and it's hourly.

Dudley is within a 15 minute walk of the BP garage in Annitsford, where there's the 52 and 43 into Newcastle.

Annitsford isn't exactly the biggest of places and the service levels are justifyable. It just has more buses to Cramlington because they have to pass through Annitsford to get there, they cannot hover over the place. And TBH many OAP etc. pass users prob head to Cramlington shops from the area because it's closer and more convinient.

Annitsford have one of the best bus services in the area ?.
Holywell only have the 19/57/57A and no bus to Newcastle.
Seghill only have the X7 and hourly 57
New Hartley only have the X7 and 58 twice a day.
Beacon Hill only have the X9
Hartford only have the 58
Backworth only have the 54
Stakeford only have the X22 and hourly 57
Red House Whitley have the hourly 51
Monkseaton has the 57/57A and Whitley locals
You've got a good bus network for the size of the place.
