I've just done a little script which shows the capacity of every fleet in the GNE fleet with a status on how full / busy it is with what's available.

https://www.ticketix.com/loadteststuff - Can see it there, also useful for people who seem to monitoring Sunderland's buses today in the other thread Tongue

Sorry, I might be misunderstanding you. As I said before - Passenger, who designed GNE's website and app, interpret the thresholds differently to how they are being used in Ticketer. Operators need Passenger to change their coding to be able to do this, so it's somewhat outside of their control.

As you say, the data is there - that's the beauty of it - it just needs the coding to be changed. As I understand it, it's a 'one size fits all' approach - which is why Passenger's apps and websites all look very similar.

To achieve what you'd want without Passenger changing their coding would require operators to change how they monitor capacity - which given that they've now been doing this for two years, operators won't be willing to do as they'd have to re-educate their workforce.

In reality it's a bit of a pointless feature now in my view. Folk are happy to go to a football match, pub, club, etc, with far more people. Personal (perhaps controversial) view is that we all need to learn to live with Covid.

Yeah totally agreed tbh on the need for it nowadays tbh. The only time it argubly would be useful is if the bus is actually full as obviously you can't get on.

It was more aimed at the coders there tbh that I'm surprised they didn't change it, infact surprised they didn't do it that way in the first place. Just seems an easy fix from their end as I'm assume you'll be paying a hefty chunk to be using their apps in the first place.

We do need to learn to live with covid though otherwise it'll never end which I'm sure some would enjoy not so much on here though.
