Rock hard suspension, rattles everywhere, feel extremely cheap and the engine is noisy (not in a nice way). Poorly built imo hate them when they're on the X7 over the Gemini's which are the total opposite. Not sure I agree. They have some rattles for sure, but I travelled across to Corbridge on one (1495 I think) in the week and it was a pretty comfortable journey. Interior felt smart and performance was more than solid. Reliability wise, they also seem to rarely have spells VOR - certainly compared to other vehicles of that age, or their replacements (i.e Daimler Streetlites). As a fellow X7 passenger I don't think they are that bad, sure some of them rattle (likewise some of the Geminis have that horrible squeak next to the driver's cab), but that's probably down to a lack of TLC from Blyth depot and not an inherent build quality issue. Maybe it's just me then, there's just something I don't like about them and it's hard to explain. Guess that's life though, one thing someone likes another hates. That is true, I had a soft spot for Class 142 Pacers, and I know that makes me an oddball RE: Loan of buses from Arriva North West to cover vehicle refurbishments - Storx - 28 Feb 2022 (27 Feb 2022, 9:35 pm)solsburian wrote That is true, I had a soft spot for Class 142 Pacers, and I know that makes me an oddball Ha I can't say much. I always had a soft spot for the Vario's as they had character even known they were pretty awful really.
