RE: January 2023 changes - peter - 26 Dec 2022 (26 Dec 2022, 6:14 pm)KingSlayerRBLX wrote Thank You, I see that there is a few differences. Just gonna have to wait for the official post from GNE then I mean the X30 won't be going to Consett as that's not what's registered. GNE's official post isn't going to say any different. What's shown on VOSA are the official registrations. Bustimes is essentially a data interface which presents government data, such as open data for tracking, and traffic commissioners registrations for service changes. So what you are seeing on Bustimes is the same data taken from VOSA, only because bustimes isn't perfect, a few errors can be made, including showing old route numbers, and incorrect destinations for combined registrations. Bustimes doesn't have some sort of secret intel, the differences are due to error. The one thing they do tend to get right is the description of the changes. When a route change is made it's declared in the description, as with the 47 and 16. In this case, there is no given route change for the X71/72 or 78, just the timetable. RE: January 2023 changes - L469 YVK - 26 Dec 2022 In response to some of the comments about lack of layover times on the Consett / Stanley to Newcastle services, I've managed to come up with the following without increasing the current PVR of 19x. All with sensible layover times. Interworking patterns: X71-X45-X45-X71 - PVR 5x 4hr24m X72-X45-X45-X72 - PVR 5x 4hr33m - remote relief at Stanley 47-X30-X31-47 / 47-X31-X30-47 - PVR 9x 4hr16m Current PVR (19x): - X30/X31/X45 - 8x - X71/X72 - 5x - 47 - 6x New PVR (19x): - X45/X71/X72 - PVR 10x - 47/X30/X31 - PVR 9x Consett Euro 6 Fleet: - 9x ADL E400MMC 6343-51 - 47/X30/X31 - 5x ADL E400MMC 6338-42 - X45/X71/X72 - 5x Volvo B5TL 6308-12 - X45/X71/X72 Consett Euro 6 Spares: - ADL E400MMC - 6336, 6337 - Volvo B5TL - 6313, 6314 Other changes: - 6334-35 - freed up - 6043-48 - freed up > - 6356-63 - X21 RE: January 2023 changes - DeltaMan - 26 Dec 2022 (26 Dec 2022, 7:12 pm)L469 YVK wrote In response to some of the comments about lack of layover times on the Consett / Stanley to Newcastle services, I've managed to come up with the following without increasing the current PVR of 19x. No remote travel time.Couldn't be as the X71 also has a long layover, unless you wanted a driver sitting around doing nothing in Stanley for 27 minutes. Plus does the 6 not have remote changeovers at Stanley too? What sort of layovers do you expect? GNE don't have a bottomless pit of cash for extra drivers and resources in the PVR! Consett: 00:35 Newcastle: 01:53 <7 min layover> Newcastle: 02:00 Stanley: 02:38 <12 min layover> Stanley: 02:50 Newcastle: 03:30 <8 min layover> Newcastle: 03:38 Consett: 04:51 <14 min layover> That is 41 minutes of layover time in a 4hr16m cycle! Okay could maybe have a bit extra at Eldon Square with a re-jigg but would lead to stand congestion. Most interurban services typically get a 7-8 minute layover in Newcastle. With a bunch of slower routes hoovering up all the villages incorporating the 6, 16 between Stanley and Consett, X30/X31 between Whickham and Newcastle, X45, 47, X71, X72 and 78 between Stanley and Consett. It's far too slow between Consett and Stanley to Gateshead and that route from Consett to Newcastle is no longer than the current X45 or X71 and would give Leadgate, Castleside and Anfield Plain a much much better service to the main place they actually want to go to. Ah the 78 would still go to Sunderland, I just ran out of pins for the rest of it. Not sure why anyone would be using the 16 though, surely they'd be on the X5/X15 instead which is quicker and passes it aswell. Everyone pretty much would have a link to Durham with it heading the other way in places like Burnopfield etc who don't atm. Ngl I was just trying to restore the 43/44 with similar routes as it's been a complete mess with changes every other week since they changed them and none of them are better than what was about then imo. RE: January 2023 changes - Unber43 - 27 Dec 2022 You could just keep the 16 hourly, and then have a X78 (78 current route) then 78 (old 16 route) therefore the X30/78 would operate every 30 mins Also your numbering I think something in the 20's or 40's would be better. Then X45 interworked with X71/X72. The latter interworking patterns not needing a 'low height' decker. Only got 14x E400MMC (not including 6336-37) and total PVR is 19x but I'm sure with 6356-63 not having any particular 'use' at the moment, GNE would have enough suitable vehicles to make the PVR up to 19x with suitable spares RE: January 2023 changes - L469 YVK - 03 Jan 2023 Looks like timetables are starting to appear. 47 gets a long layover in Newcastle arriving at xx:01/xx:31 and departing at xx:15 and xx:45. 47 no longer extended to Shotley Bridge Hospital X45/X30/X31 appears to have the following interworking pattern: Consett X45: 00:09 Newcastle X45: 01:16 Newcastle X31: 01:25 Stanley X31: 02:05 Stanley X30: 02:12 Newcastle X30: 02:51 Newcastle X45: 03:00 Consett X45: 03:59 RE: January 2023 changes - Jack Gill - 03 Jan 2023 https://www.gonortheast.co.uk/service-changes-from-29-January RE: January 2023 changes - L469 YVK - 03 Jan 2023 A couple of things I've noticed though: - Why no hard coordination between Sunniside and Newcatle with the X30/X31/X71/X72? Surely a roughly 15 minute common headway would be the way forward. - Again with the above, 47 could interwork with X30/X31 and X45 could interwork with X71/X72 to facilitate the above and maintain common headways on the Sunniside - Newcastle and Rowlands Gill - Newcastle corridors. Layover times would be adequate at Eldon Square and generous at both Stanley & Consett. - With reference to the 47 (although would have to be used on X45/X71/X72 due to low bridge on a 47/X30/X31 interworking pattern), why are 'binge drinking' B9TLs still being utilised on the Consett to Newcastle group of services when there are 8x StreetDecks available to use? So allocations would be: * 47/X30/X31 - 9x E400MMC (6338-46) * X45/X71/X72 - 8x StreetDeck & 2x E400MMC (6356-63 & 6347-48) * 3x E400MMC spare covering a Euro 6 PVR of 19x (ratio of 6.33:1) - (6336, 6337, 6349) * 6350-51 to Riverside and along with 6377, could facilitate a return of the X9 if demand warranted it or a half hourly X10 to Peterlee. * 6334-35 return to Riverside and re-join 6308-14. * 6043-48 freed up for other uses and are Euro 6 compliant. - Sunday X72s should be joined onto the interworking pattern for the 6/12/X30 and would again also maintain a more common headway with service X30 between Sunniside and Newcastle. - 16B/47/X5/X45 should all interwork on Sundays. Changeovers Southbound before commencing 16B/X5 where possible so that any late running 47/X45 journeys (i.e Sunday Matchdays etc) can be regulated at Consett. 78 extended to Castleside on Sundays in place of X5. RE: January 2023 changes - Chris 1 - 03 Jan 2023 They're persistent with the Tour de Winlaton with the 12, I'll give them that. Still a mess. |
