I don't want to go down the suggestions but I wouldn't be surprised to see the X22 go via Cramlington to stock up the X10/X11 personally. Drop the X10/X11 down to 3 BPH and then have the X22 running with them so it's 6 BPH to Cramlington. It could easily run the current route to Brockwell then just rejoin the current route by the A192. Cramlington isn't going nowhere. Personally I'd love to see the X9 upped to 3 BPH aswell and try and grow it on the massive new housing estates being built at the West side of the town tbh. I do agree that Redcar don't look after their buses very well though, or even allocate properly. Redcar do lool after there buses when deckers on the 62 there down from whitby for a reson and absolutely bull about drivers pulling doors or closing RE: Newly transferred to Redcar whitby - Mike_98 - 25 Mar 2024 (25 Mar 2024, 8:19 pm)Mark66t wrote I been thinking the same as its meant to be coming down and that about pulling doors I'm sure u have made that up The thing about drivers with the doors is true. Most of the Driver Cab doors are dodgy because of wear and tear so they have to be rammed shut. Also they’ve received 1539 but the engine fitted didn’t last too long so needs a return to Durham…! Redcar I am told are prepping 7424 for a return… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Newly transferred to Redcar whitby - Spottybus - 26 Mar 2024 I’m guessing 7579/7580/7581 are transfers & 7578 is only a loan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Newly transferred to Redcar whitby - Mike_98 - 26 Mar 2024 (26 Mar 2024, 2:21 pm)Spottybus wrote I’m guessing 7579/7580/7581 are transfers & 7578 is only a loan From what everyone was saying before, I believe they are all transfers to ensure the X93/X94 has maximum capacity. And I must say, it hasn't been a great start. RE: Newly transferred to Redcar whitby - tvd - 27 Mar 2024 Believe what you like, I'm not lying. Am talking about the outer doors and entrance area, I've seen Redcar drivers knock hell out of the doors in full view of the Redcar office and many passengers. Blyth will be the worst hit if anything. Most I can see at Ashington is X21/X22 reduced to every 30 mins each and maybe the X20 reduced from double to single deckers. With a PVR reduction for the X21/X22/35 (from 21x to 14x), no doubt that would leave enough E400MMC to transfer from Ashington to Whitby / Redcar if needed to allow the B9TLs to take a back seat role. Newly transferred to Redcar whitby - Spottybus - 27 Mar 2024 Not sure if this is true but I think one of E400MMCs at Redcar are on loan to cover for 7581 while it’s still at Ashington to cover for 7574 once 7574 has returned to service 7581 will probably transfer over to Redcar then one of them at Redcar will go back to Ashington Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Newly transferred to Redcar whitby - PH - BQA - 28 Mar 2024 (27 Mar 2024, 11:33 pm)Spottybus wrote Not sure if this is true but I think one of E400MMCs at Redcar are on loan to cover for 7581 while it’s still at Ashington to cover for 7574 once 7574 has returned to service 7581 will probably transfer over to Redcar then one of them at Redcar will go back to Ashington You've posted this multiple times now and been told that it's wrong, you should probably stop posting false information. Why would they send one down on loan in place of the one that should be going down which is perfectly serviceable? If 7581 was planned to go down and was VOR it would make sense but it isn't, so it doesn't. Obviously it's also been confirmed by multiple people on multiple sites that 4 are to transfer. RE: Newly transferred to Redcar whitby - Mike_98 - 05 Apr 2024 7578 I found out today is actually a loan ?... as there is a white a4 piece of paper stuck on the door side window stating that it is on loan from Arriva Northumbria Ltd to Arriva Durham County Ltd. Also I passed 7579 as well and glanced over and also saw a white piece of paper so I assume that said the same thing. Also looking at Flickr it seems 7580 has some paper on it too so they all seem to be loaned not actually transferred. Strange as I thought they were transferred… RE: Newly transferred to Redcar whitby - RobertJ - 05 Apr 2024 (05 Apr 2024, 12:07 pm)Mike_98 wrote 7578 I found out today is actually a loan as there is a white a4 piece of paper stuck on the door side window stating that it is on loan from Arriva Northumbria Ltd to Arriva Durham County Ltd. Until the legal lettering has been changed to display Arriva Durham County Ltd, these sheets have been displayed to show that if an accident happens with one of these vehicles, the correct area is given for insurance purposes. Ahh that makes sense. As it still shows Arriva Northumbria Ltd below with the address etc… And I guess any accidents that may happen this sheet of paper is proof of ownership. |
