It certainly seems that drivers haven't been paid for a number of weeks and they are only running one service (284) this week. RE: The Yorkshire Thread... - peter - 16 Apr 2014 Why did Arriva choose not to merge what is now Yorkshire Tiger into their Arriva Yorkshire operations which would have created a stong and also clearly Arriva presense in Yorkshire? RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations - Adrian - 10 May 2014 That lime green certainly doesn't go with the silver. Is the interior brown too or is that my eyes? RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations - S813 FVK - 11 May 2014 (10 May 2014, 10:38 pm)aureolin wrote That lime green certainly doesn't go with the silver. Is the interior brown too or is that my eyes? Yeah the seats are brown and when I went past the Park and Ride construction site last month the building was hardly even complete. I hope they don't end up doing a Whitby Park and Ride and opening the site to the public without it being 100% complete. I'd also love to know why they like to use the word 'Bar' in their park and ride names. At least 3 of the current sites have that word on the end of it (Askham, Rawcliffe and Grimston) plus Poppleton Bar which has been said by many users (me included) RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations - R852 PRG - 12 May 2014 I can't help but compliment the staff at Huddersfield Buses. When me and my family went to Holmfirth (Last of The Summer Wine), for a long weekend a few years ago, we used several of their services in and around Holmfirth, as well as the express to Huddersfield, and the drivers were all friendly and helpful. As well as the beautiful scenery (I think the British countryside is unbeatable when it comes to beautifulness), the vehicles were quite nice as well. If I recall they had a few Alexander RHs, a couple of SPDs, a Lynx (if I recall), a Palatine 1 and several other bodies on an Olympian chassis. I strongly recommend a visit. RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 24 May 2014 York's new Park & Ride sites have officially been confirmed as opening on Sunday 8th June 2014. The new site at Poppleton Bar will be served by the Versa EVs on Turquoise Line 59, operating into York via Boroughbridge Road (the A59) to York Station then within the city centre operates the same route as the 3. http://www.itravelyork.info/park-and-ride/park-and-ride-sites/poppleton-bar/ The second site is the enlarged site at Askham Bar, located behind Tesco there. A new bus lane has been built behind Tesco so buses can pass the current site and then travel direct to the new site. The current car park will become a normal Pay and Display Car Park. http://www.itravelyork.info/park-and-ride/park-and-ride-sites/askham-bar/ RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations - Kuyoyo - 28 May 2014 It looks like it's not just Arriva North East gaining 'MAX'.....Yorkshire E400 1901/2 (YJ58FHB/C) are the first refurbished examples for the first Yorkshire route going MAX - the 268 between Dewsbury and Bradford. |
