RE: Hunters of Tantobie - NK53 TKT - 08 Apr 2016 Can you use explorers on the 713? Also are the buses that run on the 713 fitted with URBAN 90's? RE: Hunters of Tantobie - Rapidsnap - 08 Apr 2016 Only used Hunters a few times, but this was over a decade ago when they would sometimes throw out a Bedford on the service. RE: Hunters of Tantobie - Rapidsnap - 09 Apr 2016 This was one of the vehicles I was on about Hunter's - RUP906M - North-East-Independents20030421 by Gary James Mitchelhill, on Flickr RE: Hunters of Tantobie - Charles41 - 09 Apr 2016 Great photos Gary, that brings back memories for me. I was up at Hunter's yard not so long ago. They were fine around me looking around. They also opened up the GEM Travel garage and invited me in to take photos. Well worth a visit. As Charles has said Garry wonderful pictures the Coach you posted in the picture was sold to WH Fowler of Holbeach in 2006. Does anyone know what happened to the short Bedford/Dulpe that was turned into a recovery vehicle around 2008/9.Speaking of GEM Travel was it called Trappas Travel as they used to park in Hunters yard. RE: Hunters of Tantobie - grandad - 01 Aug 2016 It looks like Hunters will cease trading at the end of August. The Flinthill-Stanley service will likely transfer to Stanley travel. RE: Hunters of Tantobie - GuyParkRoyal - 02 Aug 2016 Here is confirmation of the situation with Hunter Bros from a Route One article. http://www.route-one.net/articles/Bus%20routes/North_east_based_Hunter_Bros_to_close RE: Hunters of Tantobie - Charles41 - 03 Aug 2016 Such a shame I remember first visiting Hunter's yard in about 1989 and looking round. I'm going to try and have a final visit in the next few weeks. Charles RE: Hunters of Tantobie - RBZ 5459 - 31 Mar 2017 Forgot to mention a few weeks back, but ex-Hunter's L948CRU was purchased by Workington Transport Heritage Trust. It has been added to their Operators Licence for their trip programme. RE: Hunters of Tantobie - CelingHamster - 04 Apr 2017 SO does anyone know where the old buses/coaches from the company are going/went? I'm just aware of the four; KX12ATO to Falcon Coaches, W363ABD to PCL, L948CRU to WTHT and XIL3675 to Alpha Recovery for scrap. |
