Oops, I've somehow mixed up the 470 with the Newcastle 710 service. I never knew they had a service that goes there RE: Glen Valley Travel - Cobalt271 - 26 Sep 2016 For some bizarre reason it wasn't noted at the time, but back in May this year GVT acquired a new VDL reg YK16SRV. Love the look of VDL coaches, but it looks strange in green! https://flic.kr/p/LrfXA1 RE: Glen Valley Travel - Cobalt271 - 26 Sep 2016 (26 Sep 2016, 8:51 pm)Dan wrote Love the look of VDL coaches, but it looks strange in green! These are great little buses that never stop we have ran them for the last 4years and have only needed to be recovered 3 times don't think there is many company's that will be that reliable. The seats are clean and tidy and in damaged would like to know why you think they are tatty? Also why you thought the back end looked a disgrace? I agree glen valley offer a good service with a different range of vehicle from a 51 reg plaxton beaver to a 66 reg coach. yes certain buses could do with a freshen up however everyone need to think that they are lucky that the bus turns up and takes you place where they could stop the services and leave you abandoned where you may be. Njx and Njv will remain in service until the end of the contracts. They might be a little older but they go for ever we all prefer them to drive over our 60 plate SR RE: Glen Valley Travel - Buses98 - 15 Nov 2016 (15 Nov 2016, 12:17 pm)Moff118 wrote Njx and Njv will remain in service until the end of the contracts. I doubt that would happen, keeping two extra buses spare would cost a lot of money that the company could save and invest elsewhere. All the tour coaches are going to be in this colour eventual. Going into the work shop over the next couple of week to get all its extras fitted! Extra led lights front, back and sides Curb lighting along nearside Wifi Hubs and brake calipers painted green Coach wash system so there's never a reason for a dirty coach And USB charging sockets to every seat. I am going to ask david on Monday as he was the lad that mentioned it and the trials have been arranged by the council not by glenvalley. I would emagine that it will be around april or may time as that is when the wooler route get retenders |
