Can remember them being new and allocated to the Durham Road services.
Loved a Metrobus and Atlantean, but the alure of a brand new decker was definitely more appealing at the time.
Pretty sure they were the first purchase from new, post de-reg too.

I think you're recalling 3675-3679 - the G67_TCN Olympians, which I remember were very nice. Delivered to Sunderland Road and then shipped off to Winlaton soon after as part of the Metrobus/Olympian swap.

I passed a 16 branded decker on the A19 last night.
Too far away to get the ID, but it was being given a lift south and was on the slip road off on to the A174 at Thornaby/Ingleby Barwick.
