Wrightbus - cbma06 - 02 Oct 2019 Doesn’t the son own the land and asking about 1 and a half million in rent which put off possible takeover, before it went into admin there was a possible takeover but the buyer wanted to purchase the land with the business but there weren’t prepared to sell the land Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Wrightbus - streetdeckfan - 02 Oct 2019 (02 Oct 2019, 12:40 pm)cbma06 wrote Doesn’t the son own the land and asking about 1 and a half million in rent which put off possible takeover, before it went into admin there was a possible takeover but the buyer wanted to purchase the land with the business but there weren’t prepared to sell the land If you believe what is said on the news then yes, that is exactly what happened. The Wright family said that isn't what happened, but we know how trustworthy they are now RE: Wrightbus - Andreos1 - 02 Oct 2019 (02 Oct 2019, 11:14 am)streetdeckfan wrote Missed this yesterday. Even if ADL were interested, I couldn't see the CMA allowing it to happen. RE: Wrightbus - Michael - 02 Oct 2019 (02 Oct 2019, 11:14 am)streetdeckfan wrote Missed this yesterday. Really hope so, it also says, a deal could be done by end of next week. RE: Wrightbus - streetdeckfan - 02 Oct 2019 Another Update:

If only because Id rather not have to travel on an E400! Wrightbus - streetdeckfan - 10 Oct 2019 Looks like any chance of a deal is gone, seems to me like Mr Wright is playing the victim here Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk RE: Wrightbus - BusLoverMum - 10 Oct 2019 (10 Oct 2019, 9:32 am)streetdeckfan wrote Looks like any chance of a deal is gone, seems to me like Mr Wright is playing the victim here Ouch. Wrightbus - streetdeckfan - 10 Oct 2019 Statement from Jo Bamford. I assume not since they went into administration and would now legally be an independent company RE: Wrightbus - Andreos1 - 15 Oct 2019 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-50058749 Airport contract goes to another firm - who aren't coach builders by trade. All the same, surely? </sarcasm> RE: Wrightbus - streetdeckfan - 15 Oct 2019 (15 Oct 2019, 7:31 pm)Andreos1 wrote That is probably a good thing to be honest, that means that they can focus on building GNE's StreetDecks! I had to wait for 3 buses today to get a StreetDeck on the X21! RE: Wrightbus - S830OFT - 16 Oct 2019 (15 Oct 2019, 10:14 pm)streetdeckfan wrote I don't think that's very true; you would have missed quite a lot in the space of 90 minutes just by not wanting a spare bus. You could have travelled to Durham and got the 21 which has plenty of StreetDecks... RE: Wrightbus - streetdeckfan - 16 Oct 2019 (16 Oct 2019, 8:08 am)S830OFT wrote I wasn't travelling in that direction, I was just wanting to go down to Tindale. Plus, I wasn't in any rush so I just waited. A StreetDeck is a rare sight on the X21 these days, it wouldn't bother me so much if every other bus was a spare, but there was an OmniCity, OmniDekka and a B7 all in a row. Not what I would expect for an X lines service! It's not like gne planned for wrightbus to go under after they'd already started re-allocating and re-painting vehicles that they expected to replace with new. RE: Wrightbus - Stanleyone - 18 Oct 2019 http://www.passengertransport.co.uk/2019/10/bamford-on-brink-of-deal-to-save-wrightbus/ A few green backed streetdecks can be seen in the photo. When this deal is complete we should see deliveries soon in my opinion. Yes I think it does look brown, it’s not the dash though, that’s above it. Do wonder how much of the surround will be noticeable on the finished product. RE: Wrightbus - streetdeckfan - 18 Oct 2019 (18 Oct 2019, 5:30 pm)Stanleyone wrote Oh aye, so it is! I was looking at it on my phone so it all just sort of blurred together! That might just be the raw plastic colour and it hasn't been painted yet. Wonder if it'll get painted the usual blue or grey to match the E200/E400s RE: Wrightbus - Michael - 19 Oct 2019 So have Wrightbus started back up then?, if so, when are we expecting the first streetdecks done? RE: Wrightbus - Stanleyone - 19 Oct 2019 (19 Oct 2019, 9:43 am)Michael wrote So have Wrightbus started back up then?, if so, when are we expecting the first streetdecks done? The article suggests that it’s not back in production yet, but it won’t be long. Looks like there’s a few nearly complete so I would think it’ll only be a matter of weeks before we see the first arrivals.
