No, no vandalism around bishop. Ever.

Back to the E200s, I find the seats really uncomfortable. No lumbar support and I end up with a sore neck, too. Travelled on one of SNE's new ones on the 36 and they're no better.

The people of Bishop are too drunk or drugged up to think about vandalism!

I don't like the seats either, not very comfortable for long journeys I don't think

I like the V3 seats, I regularly sit in them for 4-6 hours in a day and have no issues, I sat on the 97 for half an hour yesterday and I had back and neck ache. I've spoke to quite a few people who have said they find the new seats uncomfortable

Normally I lean against the wall, but the only seats in the E200 with legroom are the four priority seats, the one next to the emergency exit which is unusable because the handle sticks out too far and the four up the stairs which is literally a panel of glass to the side

I believe the seats were designed for people to be sat in them, not to lean to one side.....

I've never had any problem with legroom at 5'10", i dont know if its because i sit up straight Tongue

I'm just over 6'1 and if I sit up dead straight and bend my knees so my feet are under the seat, I just fit in, so most of the time I have to sit twisted just to sit comfortably.

It doesn't help that the new seats have so much padding it's like sitting on a bloody yoga ball!

I have, they're surprisingly nice to sit on, as long as you stay perfectly still!

It would definitely be an improvement!

I'm just glad they decided to go with the V3 seats for the StreetDecks, even if I have to put up with only part leather!

Having said that, the most vandalism I've ever seen was someone throwing an egg at the window.

There’s nothing wrong with Peterlee, I was born and raised in East Durham, you get the same kind of idiots anywhere in the northeast just we just got crappy bus services from a crappy bus company (Arriva )

That's still the plan - for now, at least.

Passenger numbers to be monitored, and, should such a time arise where there has been sufficient growth and double-deck would be warranted, will be swapped for the five E400MMCs.

Unlike the X21 timetable leaflet, there don't seem to be any notes in the X30 leaflet about certain journeys not being Xlines buses.

A random question. How did the GNE head office in Gateshead come about? It seems quite unusual that it’s just a free standing building that neither has a depot attached nor is a high profile city centre location. Did there used to be a depot alongside it at some point?

Yes, the new houses are where the central coachworks used to be.
