Flight radar is your friend.
Just type the route and dates you flew and you can find out.

The media are picking up on this quite a bit now. More aborted trips from Manchester on Jet2.

RE: Jet2.com - 8222 - 25 Oct 2016

For anyone in London - Liverpool Street Central Line is plastered in jet2 advertising for STN.

Noutt wrong with Jet2.com I have just been on one of their new 737 800 NG aircraft G_JZHL and the journey was superb with an on time take off and early landing at Alicante.

I have not yet experienced the new 737s yet but from the experience of:
G-LSAA
G-LSAD
G-LSAG
G-LSAI
G-LSAK
G-LSAN
G-GDFW
G-GDFK
G-GDFG
G-CELV
G-GDFN

It is pretty poor in comparison with Thomson, Thomas Cook, BA and Easyjet

On another note Jet2 have announced more New York flights from Newcastle

Of course they are, they're more expensive than Jet2, i have to agree, Easyjet is slightly better.

I have to say, I probably trust LS more than Ryanair and would choose to fly them anyday.

I think Ryanair stand out due to the age of their fleet. I've flown on their aircraft recently and it was just a few months old and NK53 mentioned above about flying on new stuff.

Not sure we could say the same about any of Jet 2's fleet.

They are getting newer 738s in all due to them.

I have to say, I've hopped the pond in a 2-month old BA 77W before and flown back on a 744 that is nearly the same age as me. For some reason it was comforting knowing it had done that many long haul trips over the years!

With FR - I think it's more a case of pilot workload and the fact they've had some near fuel starvation issues that worries me more than anything.

Forgot to reply to this at the time.

In the last few months, I've flown quite a bit.
A 15 year old BA 320 was the oldest - but didnt look it internally.
A 5 year old Ryanair 737, was the same state internally as a 12 year old Ryanair 737.

Externally, they all looked in a similar condition.

Without going in to too much detail, I have done quite a bit of work with an organisation who have aircraft a lot older than those mentioned above.

I have watched with interest as they tidy up the airframe with one type (particularly around toilet areas). Gutted inside and out.
Thats all well and good, but the engine replacement was the one that interested me the most. Even if they were re-conditioned ones that were being fitted.
An aircraft can pass all sorts of tests, but its the engine age/condition that I often think about.

Yes but the only change to the passenger is the Sky Interior-otherwise it's the same!
Unlike Ryanair which I flew with last week to Dublin, the 12 year old plane was no where near as good as the 3 months old plane I had back!

Sky interior is arguably a big change.

Have Jet2 leased out A330s again but for EWR flights from NCL this winter? Seat map docent look like a 757 to me

RE: Jet2.com - 8222 - 01 Aug 2019

Possibly. Is it a single-aisle aircraft or double? They've got 2 A332 on lease from Air Tanker Services at the moment

Defo double and have noticed the pattern, if so it does seem like overkill maybe

RE: Jet2.com - 8222 - 25 Aug 2019

If they can sell the seats... They seem to be getting more and more popular.

RE: Jet2.com - 8222 - 08 Mar 2020

The A321s are materialising!

This little beaut has been doing training circuits around the country - including EGNT:

LS A21N - 8222 - 01 Apr 2023

Just noticed on flight radar that a A21N is being tested at Hamburg for LS - G-SUNB

RE: Jet2.com - 8222 - 07 Apr 2023

And here she is arriving into Manchester: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXJ8BEhg-hA

2 A21Ns now in the LS fleet - G-SUNB and G-SUNC

RE: Jet2.com - 8222 - 28 Mar 2024

Noticed that G-HLYB did a few trips around the UK (PIK, LBA, NCL, BHX) on the 26th. Would love to know if the 321/A21Ns will appear at NCL soon.

In other news, LS now has 7 A21Ns; with G-SUNG and G-SUNH just arrived the past couple of days in MAN
